Best Gimmick Of All Time?

I really liked the Headmasters, Targetmasters and Powermasters. It was cool to have a small TF that turned into something useful for the actual TFs. That's probably why I liked the idea of the Mini-Cons. Gotta Catch Em All! @smilepunch@

Me too.

It would have been a little better though if the figures and headmasters themselves were a bit more articulated. I wouldn't mind it if they went back to using that gimmick now that they have the ability to make them better. (Aside from Omega Supreme)

I also like the energon weapons. Sometimes it's fun to see how much you can load up one figure full of weapons.

I think the alternators realism model gimmick does it for me :) I like how they try to make the cars look like a model, some of the cars like Tracks, you can hardly even tell it transforms

I never cared for gimmicks. I just liked the fact they transformed.. If I had to pick though, I'd go with Targetmasters. It gave me a reason as a kid to hang onto the weapons. Usually they became toybox liner.

That or actionmasters. Not sure why, but I liked them. They were like cartoon accurate versions of the characters. I had enough imagination for them to transform.

I liked the energy cards from G1 boxes. Like the red sheet thing that you slide over the box and energy ratings show. Thats the coolest thing ever!

I kinda like Energon's combination gimmick, where you can combine some of the bigger characters. The combiners were always popular back in the day, and the Energon stuff just seems to capitalize on that notion.

But I'd say my favorite gimmick was the Headmasters sub-line. I loved the fact that there were Transformers that had cool little semi-articulated pilot/driver robots. And I loved their vehicle and robot designs, at least in the first series.

masters, that's the best gimmick and i think they should bring them back full force, instead of just hit and misses, omega supreme, headmaster, overload, headmaster, bendy prime, target master, darth maul's ship (can't think of his name) targetmaster.

You mean Vecotr Prime? The guy in Cybertron/Galaxy Force? He comes with a grey gun/minicon.

Powermasters, headmasters and Combiners. Car to robot and back again is cool... but if you can make 5 of them into one big one... way way cooler =) Didnt like target masters... never had any... and wont be getting anytime soon. The red see-through thingy was quite cool back in the days too =)

**Zakna... somehow.. i also read Grimlock ... instead of gimmick hahaha we must really want to see G1 Grimlock back so we can buy the sucker! again! RE-ISSUE HIM PLEASE!
