Building The Energon Combiners

How's everybody doing it? Superion, Bruticus and Dev?

 

Built to Hasbro's pics? Your own idea?

 

 

Personally I'm building mine as follows,

 

Superion, A1 and A4 will be the arms and A2 x2 will be my legs. I'm just not that impressed with the color scheme on A1 (Terradive).

 

Dev, C1 x2 (sledge) will be the legs, while C2 and C3 will be my arms. Although, if I do 2x C3, Dev will be mostly uniform green.

 

Bruticus will have D4 (Kickback) as the legs and D1 and D3 as the arms.

Although, the orange on D1 is growing on me, but D4 looks so cool in black and I may want both arms as D4 (Blackout)

I'll be getting them the way they are supposed to be, and I will combine them Scramble City style. Just like G1 I can interchange them the way I want. #US1#

Skipping Superion altogether....Bruticus will be Hasbro-styled, having all four limbs, provided I find them all.

i'm just gonna make them look original as how they are suppose to be..i may get matching color schemes when they go on sale or clearance

I don't see why everyone is bent out of shape about matching limbs. Look at G1 Abominus. He's not so uniform in color. Neither is Bruticus or Menasor.

I plan on getting at least 2 complete sets of each of the combiner teams (maybe even eventually splurge on getting more of each of the limbs just for experimental purposes). Once I get them all I'll mix and match them and see which combinations work the best and thats how I'll display them.

 

I already have a complete Superion which is combined the same way as it's shown on the package but I'm sure that will change eventually. I'll probably make one with Windrazors and Sky Shadows and the other with Treadshots and Terradives.

 

I have a Bruticus with 2 Stormclouds and Kickbacks and I can't wait for Blackout! Stormclouds orange color just sticks out way too much for my liking. 2 Blackouts and 2 Kickbacks will probably be the best looking combo.

 

For Construction Max I think 2 wideloads will look much better paired with 2 sledges. I'll probably make another with 2 Bonecrushers and 2 Duststorms.

 

At some point I'll probably start mixing up the teams entirely to see if there are any worthwhile combo's so that they all have 4 different limbs.

 

It'll be expensive but it should be a lot of fun! I'll probably end up waiting for some good sales to pick up a lot of the extra's or if I can find some loose sets going cheap on ebay I may just get them that way.

... and that is the reason many people don't like them. Personally, Devastator is the only G1 combiner I like.

 

If the energon combiners get released domestic, I'll do Devastator with 4 sledges, but only if. There's no way I'm paying mega bucks to import them.

I finally found some limbs, the first sets for Devvy and Superion, so I got two Sledges. My Devastator has legs and a scoop arm, kinda gimpy.

I already have the complete Superion Maximus and Constructicon Maximus since i ordered the Jap. Box sets. But since I didnt have enough money,I gotta collect Hasbro's Bruticus Maximus,and I'm making him the way he is supposed to be.

Well it would be nice if I could find all the limbs. I still havent been able to find C4 and C5 or A4 and A5 and tonight was the first time I had seen the middle peice of Bruticus but no limbs at all.
