Found New Alias Figures At Media Play

Im sorry but these things are hideous! The head is just too big for the body. The sculpt is terrible and these lok like thy mighta been hot....IN THE early 80's!!!!!!

 

I saw some a while back that were pretty good and done well but these look like someone is trying to congress (opposite of progess) in making great sculpted, collectible toys!

Are you talking about the 12" dolls? I saw entertainmentearth.com's pics of them a while back and they had horrible mutant heads. I was hoping they were very early prototype pics...

I've been hoping for a Garner fig for a while, but my hope is all but gone. I haven't liked any of the 6" figs, and when I finally saw Dragon's "Jennifer" soldier figure in person, the paint job made her look like a corpse. Maybe the Smitis, maybe....

I'm into Alias so I was all about these figures. I bought Sydney Bristow and Michael Vaughn. I'm a huge fan of the show so I had to get these figures. But compared to Marvel Legends, they're decent at bast.

 

But I'm deeply disappointed with Sloane. He does look like he's about to fart or something.

 

These figs are for serious fans at best. I wouldn't recommend them for Jennifer Garner gawkers.

I saw them at Suncoast yesterday and my gf and I commented how hideuos they were! Then we checked out and the lady was commenting how cool the Pirates Jack was then how bad the Alias stuff was!!! @lol@

yeah ,now i know why Sarah Michelle Gellar is so picky about her buffy self in action figure/sideshow doll form.i have seen alias a few times its a good show,but the figures were so so sad,jennifer should slap the people who made her figures.the faces are pretty good though but the bodies are just wrong.

Sorry to rant but damn am I disappointed in these. Can't they make decent Alias figures???? I mean Sydney looks like a Man-ape! Actually, all 4 of them look like apes with arms that long! What were they sniffin?

I know what you mean, I didn't even make it to the restroom before I vomited all over the figures the first time I saw them. lol.

 

To me, they look like the artist that created the MAD Magazine guy sculpted these figures, especially with the expressions on Sloan and Vaughn's faces. Their faces are double wides and those jawbones are HUGE, and Sloan does look like he's got something squirmy in his draws. That was probably the look on the real Sloan's face when he saw that figure of himself. And that supposed-sexy-sidney figure is anything but sexy with that head sculpt. Two words: Drag Queen.

 

At least the Alias fans have figures, but they shoulda gotten something better. I kinda wanted my own little sidney bristow, but I'll pass on these.

 

Also, interesting note on PROgress verses CONgress, even if it is incorrect since REgress is the right word. Never thought of the word "congress" in that way, but wrong or not, it would make sense if that was the opposite of progress, given the US Congress of late...
