Pete Sinclair, a member of the Transformers Fan Club Advisory Board, stopped by our 2005 Boards to answer some questions people had about the Transformers Fan Club:

As soon as there is confirmation that the figure is a go, it will be announced who the character is. This should happen before the deadline of March 18th. I can say that it will be an exsisting tool. The future ones from this series will have slight retooling, but due to time issues it did not happen for the first one. If you do not sign up by March 18th you will still be able to sign up for the Club and buy the figure IF there are extras available. There will be a set number of these.

The same is true of the newsletter, you can buy back issues. Now, as far as "TF content" goes, the newsletter IS the main source of TF content, not the Master Collector magazine. Consider that as a "bonus." Every other month you will receive the 16 page Newsletter stiched inside your monthly Master Collector Magazine and the newsletter will contain 100% Transformers related material. The Master Collector Magazine will have TF related ads and so forth, but the amount in each issue will depend on all of the members that submit their free 30 word ad.

Well, slight retooling is better than just a straight repaint. I'm hoping they may at least give them new heads. I also find the statement "As soon as there is confirmation the figure is a go" very interesting. Basically what I read from that is the figure isn't a 100% GO so there is always a possibility it could be re-negged. I doubt that will happen, but you never know.

So all the other figures aside from the first one are going to have retooling done to them... I duno personaly I'd rather just wait a bit & get the retooling done but thats just me...

I'd bet it is g2 Devestator since he is the only combiner that really didn't appear recently in Superlink form. Constructicon Maximus doesn't really count as being Devestat. since unlike the other two, this combiner doesn't use the original combind name. Besides, this figure is the only one with a totally different head than the other two. Making him yellow is logical since we already have lime green for CM. However, they can mix and match parts to make Defensor; Bruticus Max, Super max, and Construct max can be the land, and air type of thing Defensor has.

i think it would be cool if it was a g1 menasor repaint with the original colors of the characters that disguised themselves in the season 2 episode masqeraude

motormaster = Optimus prime

breakdown = sideswipe

mirage = dragstrip

dead end = jazz

wildrider = windcharger

in case anyone's confused we'd get

a red and blue motormaster

a red breakdown

a blue and white dragstrip

a white dead end with a blue/red stripe

and a red wildrider

in the episode the characters tried to combine and even turned into the body and limbs but could'nt stay connected. it still sounds cool even though it's an "impossible" character. the color scheme would even be semi uniform, you could have sideswipe and windcharger repaints for arms as they are both red and mirage and jazz for legs because they both have blue in them, so it could actually look like a combined optimus! what do you think?
