2005 - Year Of The Re-issue G1 Remakes?

Can you image, if the same person that came up with the idea of the Masterpiece Optimus Prime could actually convince Takara/Hasbro of working on something new for the Fans of G1 Transformers? Maybe more than one new concept in 20 + years fans would go crazy for.

Why not make this the year of the Remakes, 2005?

First off, lets remedy the 20+ year mistake of Jetfire and finally give collectors the Skyfire we so desire and deserve?

Secondly, where are the Jets? Ok, if because they were re-issued before in collectors sets, why not take the very sleak and more cartoon accurate Robotmasters Starscream and re-do all of the jets in that fashion?

Ironhide and Ratchet have been without heads for 20+ Years for gods sake... and are probably the worst G1 transfomers ever conceived. Lets give them a new mold and a new identity.

What would you recommend if Takara/Hasbro actually could use an original idea to give back to the fans 20 years later?

Jetfire a mistake? Hardly. He's one of the best TF's ever even if he was a Macross recycle, and if Harmony Gold hadn't been such asses, you would have seen him in the cartoons and comics as Jetfire too.

Ironhide and Ratchet had heads, even though they were really seats with face stickers on them. I do want a cartoon-accurate one though, and am surprised by Hasbro and Takara not making one by now for Alternators.

I just want Takara to finish reissuing the cars...please....we still need Mirage, Wheeljack, and Sunstreaker

Me too. Really, Dinobot reissues would be nice and all, but I want a complete '84 collection of Autobot cars, and the next two '85 Seekers.

So that means we still need:

Ratchet

Ironhide (yeah, I missed out on the old ehobby reissues)

Trailbreaker

Sunstreaker

Mirage

Wheeljack

Ramjet

Thrust

Honestly, if I got these, I'd be more than happy. As for remakes, well, I figure that's what Alternators are for.

Well I of course do not want them to reissue the rest of the cars. It really takes away from having the originals. Instead of people seeing Wheeljack and saying "oh cool, you have a Wheeljack" they would just yawn and say "Ahh...I could run down to Toys R Us and pick that up."

Y'know, in my observations/opinion, the Masterpiece Prime took alot of thought and design to be exectuted, to be a completely transformable toy yet be an articulated action figure in its robot mode. And in my mind, a new Masterpiece Ironhide would be a HECK of alot easier to make. I'd absolutely love to see Hasbro/Takara do a Masterpiece Ironhide. I've always loved the character but hated the toy.

Let me say this, in complete randomness. In church, we have been calling the years things. 2003 is the year of the key, 2004 is the year of the door, and 2005 is the year to thrive.

Sorry, just something on my mind I felt like saying.

Anyway, if anything, they should take all of 2005 and use it to make the best Ironhide and Ratchet toys EVER THOUGHT OF ON THE PLANET!!!!
