G1 Reissues Predictions For The Year 2005

@optimus@ Just for kicks. What predictions does everyone have for G1 TF reissues for the year 2005? Just an informal survey.

I think the following;

A couple of Dinobots. At least Grimlock. Because you just got to know that Takara and Hasbro knows that the Dinos are probably the most popular subgroup of the fans.

I think Mirage as well. Because we were suprised by Hound. Plus as many times as I've herd that this or that mold is busted or lost we have been suprised. Soundwave was a prime example.

Possibly Trailbreaker since Hosit came out.

At least one more combiner set. Deveastator and Superion would be the front runners I think. They might not be the most desiered due to the mass amounts of KOs of the sets. But cost wise it would be most likely for Takara or Hasbro.

Hasbro might finish out or at least give us one more seeker. Probably Ramjet.

But please Hasbro where oh where is the TRU reissue Sideswipe for the US???

I'd like to see:

- Anime Skywarp.

- Anime Thundercracker.

- Blurr.

- Cassettes Pack: Frenzy, Ratbat, Ravage & Rumble.

- Kup.

- Minibots Pack: Beachcomber, Brawn, Cliffjumper, Seaspray, Wheelie & Windcharger.

:D

Sorted in alphabetical order I see :)

Dose any one know if Takara already has plans to reissue the rest of the minibots?

I think Trailbreaker and Ramjet were already released as reissues, but not mass release in book style boxes. They were released in the Collectors Edition boxes.

They were but Jacks talking about the Takara book style currnet reissues.

I think we will get

Trailbreaker

Seekers - who know which ones and if they will be anime

Minibots

Cassettes

A Combiner?

Target Master Kup, Blurr, Artfire

Soundblaster

Blaster

*Diaclone/Microman reissues (already underway with the coming blue Ravage and Laserbeak)

We already have Magnus, Tracks, Insecticons, and maybe others that I cant remember in their Diaclone colours, so this is just carrying on that trend

True, but not a single one came with the mini-drivers and not a single one was in a Diaclone box.

Also, one more thing I'd like to see for the reissues is vintage boxes exact to the original boxes, complete with TF's mounted on inner blister cards, etc. Why not? Hasbro is doing retro packaging for Star Wars and the keychains were on retro cards.

The dino's weren't that popular in Japan, but you never know.

Personally i think Takara will use the fact that it's 2005 as a reason to re-issue Kup, Blurr, Galavatron, Cyclonus and Scourge.

Also, wouldn't it be nice to have a Unicron in G1 packaging? ('86 style logo ofcourse)? :D

Well, my G1 reissue wish list would be:

Wheeljack

Sunstreaker

Trailbreaker

Ironhide and Ratchet ( I missed them earlier)

Mirage

Devastator giftset

Superion giftset

Although, with this being the movie's 20th anniversary, it would also be a great idea to have a reissue of Galvatron, Scourge, Cyclonus and the autobot heroes Kup, Blurr, Wheelie, Springer, and (for the first time ever) a movie-accurate Arcee!

And just when you thought you were going to have enough money for basic living expenses ... Takara will slam us with A MASSIVE $200 DINOBOT GIFTSET!

Might as well dream big, eh?

I'm still hoping for a Sunstreaker. Lets see we are gonna start off the year with Blitzwing and Soundblaster in January so:

Artfire

Minibots Set

Mirage

Grimlock

Stunticons set

Blurr

Kup

I would love to see a G1 colored, metal edition of Bruticus in a G1 giftset box too. Hopefully we will know the next two reissues sometime this month.

This is what I want:

Sunstreaker

Mirage

Wheeljack

Ratchet

Ironhide

Trailbreaker

Ramjet

Thrust

Out of those, I'll bet we get at least one of the three "lost" guys from Takara, and most definitely Trailbreaker and the two seekers from Hasbro. Nobody seems to like the two vans, but I want them so we get a complete reissue set of '84 cars.

I think we'll see Artfire (blah) and the Dinobots as well. Maybe a surprise like Blaster or another combiner from Takara, also.

There's enough left over for them to recall what's not been bought and repackage them like that...Hmm.

I think that if more combiners were reissued, that it should be in the box set format like Predaking. Predaking is the biggest so I don't see any problems for Takara to put combiners which are smaller like Devastator, Bruticus, etc. in box format.
