Black Market/Bootleg Figures

Evil Ryu

The easiest way to detect a bootleg is basically looking at the package. The original figure packaging text says "Evil Ryu". The bootleg text says just “Ryu” with the Evil Ryu inside the package.

The SDCC-exclusive “grinning” Evil Ryu figure in Japanese packaging (without the exclusive sticker) is also a fake, along with the “grinning” Evil Ryu packaged into yellow “White Ryu” package.

On the bootleg figure the skin tone is much lighter. The chi fist color is darker and purple tint compared to the original figure’s blue tint. The gloves are a different shade of red.

M. Bison, White Ryu or Sagat

These figures were made using the same molds and packaging (without authorization from SOTA); however these are not exactly like the originals, with paint applications and accessory quality being noticeably lower. Most of these originate from Hong Kong or China.

These bootleg figures have a cheaply scanned paper insert, with the barcode for Ryu by default. They've applied a sticker with the appropriate character's SKU in the case of Bison and Sagat.

M. Bison has a totally different skin tone with little or no airbrushed detail, a cheap cape made of totally different fabric and a poor-quality psycho energy attachment.

Ryu's hair seems to be shinier than the original P1 release, but the white paint seems to be more consistent.

Black Gen

The Black Gen in the English green packaging is fake.

9" Rotocast Series

__Ryu

__Sagat

__Sagat (orange)

__Evil Ryu

I also have the Jazwares White with Red trim Sagat figure. For the most part I think I will buy the regular versions of the figure and will only buy the variations if I really like the character or I really like the repaint.

How did you know about the line up for Revolution series2?

Me? I just copy and pasted from the first post and just X'd the figures I have. I should have removed the Revolution 2 checklist. I doubt it will come out now that NECA is making SF4 figures.

I'm pretty sure I have all of the Sota figures, all the regulars and a few of the variants.

I have a glow in the dark Blanka, SDCC Evil Ryu/Psycho Bison 2pk, Battle cry Gouken, pink Dan, green Vega and the purple Shin Akuma.

i have a variant too. sleepy hollow bison. that bastard fall down and brock his "well" neck over the holydays. now he is headless just like in sleepy hollow.

what do you mean by "sleepy hollow" bison? Do you have some kind of black bison or something? I dont think sota ever made a black variant.

I think the Jazwares figures will be rather popular. They have a good following on the Sonic the Hedgehog line. I saw some prototypes at Toy Fair, and they look really good. We will be getting them in stock once they are released shortly, as well as the Mortal Combat toys they are also producing. I'm really looking forward to Jazwares figures. As for the others they look good as well.

Time SF 2 games were absurdlybroken. Çekerdin a dragon punchwith Ken-guided fireball yollardı to 10. Knockknock would hit 20 or something to go all the blah Ekren.Round the back of thecase when we rakaya 10 round draw in the next verisyonlarda kalınıyormuş firstSF 2 max number of rounds dropped to 4-5. Again,a tie remains, the two of you are dying muşsunuz one.

Psycho Bison is a nightmare to find! I've recently got my collection almost complete... only missing Psycho Bison, Zangief and R. Mika.. only collecting P1 figures of course! :)

tumblr_mlir9kxWFa1rlfbgyo2_500.jpg

You must have came late on the boat. Psycho Bison and Evil Ryu 2 pack is hard to find. It was first an SDCC exclusive and then SOTA restocked some on their website or it might have been SouthernIsland. Evil ryu is slightly better because you can either get the online exclusive repaint version or the Japanese Toy show exclusive which includes all 3 head sculpts. R.Mika should be rather easy to find.

Its amazing, with this thread randomly coming back from the grave it has sparked some curiosity in me. I own all the P1 versions of all the characters as well as the unique variants and I was curious as to how easy these are to come by. Some arent too hard to find but most have stupid prices to them. Its pretty amazing how hard they are to obtain. The Revolution Preview wave is by far the hardest to find for me. I never bought the ryu or the ken of that wave, only the shin akuma variant since I had the original ryu and ken. I did manage to find one place online that has the psycho bison and evil ryu but they are separate and pricey.. 99 bucks each! heres the link: http://www.toywiz.com/stfisoacfibc.html

I actually forgot about the CVS2 SF Akuma figure Ive always wanted and seemed to have found one for a remotely decent price.

What do you guys think of the new CapoToys street fighters?

they look decent, should fit in the SOTA line just fine.

I am kinda against the idea of having a real cloth for some part and just plastic for some.
