Well at least this one didn't try to be poltical.

NEWSFLASH: US Goverment totally changes forgien policy after a toy sight decticated to G.I. Joe is hacked by politcal idealist. When asked for a comment the senator from Wyoming had this to say:

"You know...I see Lobbist and protesters ever day, but they never got to me. But this....this was just to big to ignore. I sure am glad they ruined that site for the good of us all."

And so on....and so forth.

yeah several joe sites have been hacked lately, i was reading about it on the dd boards

Really? That's so weird... Offhand, I would guess it's some d$ckhead political idealist as well. You know, some pseudo-anarchist dork that thinks he's battling some big corporate, pro-war Big Brother. What a tool.

Just email or pm him here. I am sure he probably can help you out. His name here is bigfan.

JoeReloaded.com was hacked, but it's back up and running now. I think the hosting company may have restored the site from back-ups because there doesn't appear to be any data missing that I can tell.

It's pretty crazy stuff. The political portion is probably just a ploy to confuse anyone from finding out who really did it. I wouldn't be surprised if this person is even in the Joe collector community and just decided that it would be fun to cause other people to suffer a little. I don't see why else they'd target Joe sites. We may even chat with this person, for all we know.

If I recall is was mostly aimed at sites that sell GI Joe related items. I'm not sure if this is related to what happened at Joe Customs or not, but they would be the only site that didn't sell Joes, if it is.

Jinx, watch my site get hacked next, now that I said that.

I dont think Joecustoms got hacked... they were down cause they were backing up everything in case they got hacked.

hope this site is backed up then.

I ordered stuff from HQ a week before Christmas, and it was marked as shipped on the site before Christmas, and I have not gotten the stuff yet. (My orders usually come extremely quickly from Curt). I hope its just taking a while because the post office was swamped for Christmas and that its not delayed because of the hacking.

Curt has always been so helpfull, and his customer service has been exellent with the infrequent problems I have had. (I ordered a Complete figure and it was missing a helmet. I told him he could toss it in with my next order, but he sent it out in its own envelope.)

GIJOEHQ.com is my main source for Joes.

what happened is when i was tearing down the old database it was pulling up some weird stuff

the site (mainly my chat room and forums..not the store) was hacked early in the month and the last message might have been a residual effect of that

i am starting the store from scratch to be able to handle the higher traffic i have been getting so its taking a while to convert all the old files into the new database

hopefully back up soon!
