Anybody Notice About Vvv Figures

is Hasbro cutting on the backpacks, the only figs i have with backpacks are Wild Weasel, Storm shadow,BAT 4.0 and Hard Drive. and i dont consider sword sheath backpacks

Toobad. The strap-on backpackeks were great with the repaints of the Talking Battle Commanders. One merit I give JvC credit for.

A number of JvC backpacks didnt work well with RAH figures. Im curious how well Hackers pack works with them.

Still need to find a bunch of Cobra Commander Televiper backpacks...

I know that HASBRO commented on the selection of weapons and such at the con and they said as the popularity grows and more money comes in they will be able to afford to make new weapons. They did comment however on royalties for the gun makers when they make a new mold that looks like an actual gun that was made. I think that next year it will only get better.

VVV Tunnel Rat had a backpack, but it is pretty much proprietary to him. One thing I hate is how some backpacks stick off of the body because the peg is too long. This is not just a problem with newer figures. That's why I liked the strap on backpacks.

True but packs probably will be the biggest change imo.

I agree, I think Hasbro has plenty of quality gun molds (and a few questionables that they still use @hmmm@ ), but it's packs that could really help the line.

I got that dumb single pack "Desert Claws" for the express purpose of getting an extra Firefly pack for my V3 Firefly, only to find it won't fit @grumpy@

Technology has come to the point I can see Hasbro making a handful of decent pack molds (say, a combat backpack, a duffle, a briefcase, etc.) and making them usable for many figures.

I would kill for a V3 Firefly in grey shades and a working duffle that could hold a couple of new mold shaped charges (perhaps with some weak adhesive), or a new comm pack with usable phone that could detach, or a backpack that could carry an extra rifle or ammo clips (the new Duke rifle in wave 4 was just a step away from swappable ammo clips). The soft plastic used on Crosshairs extra stuff would be perfect.

I think that because of the changes in figure sculpts, straps are the best possible way to go, and I don't care which format they use so long as most figures new and old can use new backpacks.
