Wild Weasel V4 & V3 / Strato-vipers

Now that the new Wild Weasel V4 has come out, what are you doing with your Wild Weasel V3's?

I'm using them as Strato-Vipers.

Of course, Wild Weasel, the character, is an individual. One that rose from the ranks proving himself to be the best pilot of all. A Crimson Elite, if you will. Hence, his uniform color. He's not really supposed to be used as an army builder. It would seem most logical that he rose from the ranks of Strato-Vipers. It's possible that he could have come from the A.V.A.C.'s, though. His uniform kind of resembles both. I know his first figure was released, in `84, before the Strato-Viper and A.V.A.C. figures were released, in `86. However, it would still stand to reason that he came from one of these units.

Thus, to me, Wild Weasel is a...no, wait..."the" only Crimson Strato-Viper in existence.

So, who else is using the Wild Weasel V3 figures as Strato-Vipers? If you're not doing that, then what are you using them as?

I think someone else mentioned this too, but I took the WW v2 head and I put it on th WW v3 head, and they're my cobra pilots... I'm not sure if I want them to be strato vipers... yet... depends on if I wanna actually make a strato viper :)

I don't know if Wild Weasel had ever been a Crimson Guard...sure he is an elite among Cobra's air force though.I think he's in charge of Cobra's air squadrons according to the Devil's Due guide.I don't quite remember, might have to check on that one.

Hasbro really did an excellent job on the new WW mold,it's fantastic and I can't certainly get enough of it.Even the red repaint is awesome. Some people complain about it being "too bright"...oh well,to each their own.I think it's perfect.

No kidding. Throw on some other arms or a different head and CALL it Frag-Viper or something. Of course, they haven't gotten back to being really bad about the repaints like they did with the 10 Neo-Vipers and 9 C.L.A.W.S. we've seen so far. Or was it 9 Neo-Vipers and 10 C.L.A.W.S.?

This is how it goes in my Joeverse:

Wild Weasel V4-Wild Weasel

Wild Weasel V3-Strato-Vipers

Wild Weasel v2-Neo-Viper Pilot (Fang 3 has a C.L.A.W.S Pilot, but for some reason, they decided to make the Neo-Pilot Wild Weasel)

The Blue Wild Weasel will be a gunner or paratrooper (Doing the kinds of jobs like Airborne or Ripcord)

We may be getting a VvV A.V.A.C soon, since we are getting one in the Built To Rule line.

Doesn't the WW v2 body( on the card) looks like the VvV one? Maybe they modified the torso?

Actually, it does. I had to look it up, but the Neo-Viper body just did not look like Wild Weasel. The arteork on V2's filecard looks very much like V3/V4 mold, with V4's coloring.

My guess is they had planned to release the Rattler with 2 figures: Wild Weasel and a Neo-Viper gunner. Problems occured with the Wild Weasel mold, and that figure wasn't ready in time for production. They chose to rename the Neo-Viper Wild Weasel, and release him alone with the rattler.

I just wonder why when they finally did release Wild Weasel V3, they didn't go with the colors on the file card of V2

What you guys gonna use the V5 Wild weasel when he comes out for?

The all metallic blue looking one......

Well, I said in my previous post that the blue WW will be used as either a gunner, or airborne trooper for the Cobra Air Force.

Maybe even as a helicopter pilot, as opposed to the black and red denoting pilots of airplanes. I don't see Tomax and Xamot piloting the Crimson Attack Chopper themselves.

Who says he's Wild Weasel? He might be a generic Cobra pilot like seen in the movie.

Well, until we get a new Wet-Suit and Moray...

Oh I forgot have the blk and red Moray's on display too as I think they are far supior to the Eel sculpt even with t crotches. I wish we would get a oringed Moray. Hell they could just call them Undertow's for all I care! Just give them to me.
