Comic Packs 4 & 5

Luckily I found them on Halloween and they had just put them out, so I was able to choose some with excellent paint apps. I grabbed the only General Flagg with a straight hat on, but Steeler's helmet is little off center, overall, I think 4 & 5 paint applications and packaging are a lot better than the first three CBP's.

This isn't a problem if you take them out of the package, though, right?

Are paint jobs really a problem with GI Joes these days? I noticed some of the VVV ones I saw this weekend looked kind of crummy... I was just going to order the comic packs online, since I can't find them up here.

I keep my comic packs mosc, so it wouldn't be a problem if you like 'em loose.

Be sure to check for paint quality, however.

I got mine from small joes and I was happy with the paint apps on them, I guess I got lucky. I like the comics packs as a whole and hats off to HASBRO from trying something new, these are great and I cannot wait to pre order 6, 7 and 8.

Grab an extra set with Hawk, and swap Hawk's head for Grunt's. Then you could paint the straps from yellow to brown.

Hawk has the old school head while Grunt has a ball joint.Had the same idea and kicked myself.lol.

I bought extras for packs #4 and #5.Switched Grunts head onto extra Steeler body and bang a Steeler with a head sculpt that looks like his in issue #5.The helmet fits him as well. For the moment I'm going to use the other Steeler as Grunt until they make one that looks like Grunt.

Where is pack #6 anyways??Why wasn't it featured on the card backs?? @cap@

I think they are releasing them in sets of 2 now. Not sure if that's such a good idea though.....could cause pegwarming problems!

The sets are released in groups of three, first was issues 1, 2, 3, and now it's a repack of 3, 4, and 5.

As for head sculpts they are smaller than the originals, but I'm sure that is something that Hasbro is going to correct for later packs. I'm pretty positive on that.

I see....thanks for the info Terry!

Regarding the shrunken heads @hmmm@ why can't Hasbro get these things right the first time? I just don't understand it....

Aww, that's great... @hmmm@ I have nowhere to buy these things!

Unless... Is it just my area that doesn't get these? Any fellow Canadians out there that can help me out? I haven't seen any of these comic packs anywhere. Where do you get them, Walmart, TRU?

I want 'em, but if it's likely I'll get a crappy paint job version I'm a little wary of ordering them online.
