Saw these yesterday at Books-A-Million(Bespin refugee knows what these are) Looks like I'll have to pick up a copy if for just the Alex Ross cover. Now to find someway to come up with the $40 cover price.

Hmmm, I've probably seen it, but, I'm not exactly sure which one it was. I remember a black(?) cover book full of Ross's work, including pics of childhood drawings and life-size sulpts of Ross style Superman and Batman. I've also seen "DK" DC books, in the style of the Star Wars Visual Dictionaries; but, I thought those had comic style (ie: 'outlined') images on the cover. I guess I'll have to pay more attention next time I'm at B.A.M. <_>

I was given one by my friend when I was the best man at his wedding a couple weeks ago. Anyway, I'm a few books behind but I browsed through it. It's really in depth and I've read that there are spoilers for stories that haven't even finished yet (ie: War Games).

I didn't like Ross's work for the cover LOL... no up to his usually par... I did take a look at it in the store and it really is amazing... I was just so surprised how up 2 date it was...

that ones called mythologies and the book is all about alex ross and his dc art work. the other book is the encyclopedia and that just came out about 2 weeks ago.

From what I had seen,it reminded me of the old Who's Who comic. Which is something they've needed to update for a long time.

That's a good price and I'd suggest any DC fan to pick it up. It's a great, fantastic book!
