Aside from Stormshadow none of them are individuals. I think the Jinx style ones are called VYPRA, as a group designation. It used to be the name of an individual from the 97/98 TRU line. If you ask me naming a troop faction the same name is kind of lazy. But Hasbros re-naming division is quite lazy if the TF series are any indica.

 

But re-naming and re-equipping can be pretty fun

 

Im just gonna have it that one style of female Ninja is a hand-to-hand combat specialist and the other is a ranged weaponry specialist. She'll be getting the crossbow and machine gun.

 

Its an odd choice to add the Faces/Zartan bag. Even if you can cut out the dividing panel, not much of the gear is gonna fit in it.

this pack is gonna be great. i pre-ordered 8 packs when they were offering free shipping on this item. i see now that that offer is no longer available, so i'm glad i pre-ordered when i did.

I was lucky when I ordered mine too. I ordered mine when TRU was having their sale for each of the troop packs at 14.99 + tax and shipping. With combined shipping I was able to save about 3-4 dollars per pack. Now I am just waiting for them to ship now

I like the paint wipes on these. Im probably one of the few people who liked them on RAHC as well. Although I admit some instances werent handled very well like the Shadowviper.

 

Wouldnt mind seeing paint wipes on more re-issues.

Well Doc I also loved the paint wipes. I'd say more actually liked them than didn't back then. There were a few very pissy vocal old timers who didn't. I would love to see them return on all sculpts not just old.

Just about the only thing missing (besides more and better gear) is Storm Shadow v2's clan tattoo. It'd be great if the final had it.

I do not belive that Jinx mold is supposed to be jinx.  I tihnk it is supposed to be a ninja cobra viper like the way HASBRO did for the character Vypra.  This whole set is cobra ninja vipers.

Okay, I guess I will make them Ninja Viper Women!

I've never really been able to get into the ninja stuff and the sci fi stuff. I've always liked the military aspects of GI Joe more. I'd rather have a CG or Viper 6 pack personally.

well considering they are $20, you are only going to be able to buy one for the $20 you say yu are going to spend on them.  so, you are either going to have to spend more if you want as many as you can regardless of how much it costs, although you clearly stipulate you only want to spend $20 and will buy as many as you can with that $20,

I pre-ordered one set from Amazon when TRU was doing the "buy 2 get the 3rd" free sale. I ordered one of this and one of the Desert team..

 

I don't like the Desert team that much, but I think they might make good frankenstein figures..

 

as for the Ninjas, they are all pretty cool.. but I do not want an army of ninjas in my collection, so I only got one pack.

 

I don't think there should be two female ninjas, and the green color on StromShadow v2 sucks!

 

I have been waiting for Hasbro to remake that mold since 97 and I want him in plain white.. Same paint scheme as the first figure, but with the version 2 body.. the perfect Stormshadow.

OK, so is the Jungle Strike Storm Shadow supposed to be our favorite Cobra ninja, or are they using a different name for this guy? Also who is the ninja in black? I know the rest are just troops, but I was really wondering about these two.

I dont know about the v2 SS repaint, but the black one is called "Black Dragon Ninja".

 

Id rather the v2 Stormshadow be a troop. If they want to re-issue individual ninja characters, (Which I dont object to) it should be in their own pack.

Thanks for the info. I really can't see that as Stormy with that awful coloring. SS is going through some good times right now with the great new molds in VvV, I'd hate to see his name get dragged through this figure.

I don't know anyones age here but does anyone remember this movie called Ninja 3:The domination? It was about a Ninja who killed a doctor on a golf course and then the cops kill him then he passes his spirit into this phone operator chick who then becomes a ninja and starts killing the cops the killed the original ninja. The Ninja in that movies look exactly like the "jungle" storm shadow in this pack. Just something i find cool

Yeah those figures definitly resemble them, its cool..... I'll probably still pick it up but it will be one of those things where I'm in the store and I'll want something new and the Ninja pack will be there. But I'm not dying to get this set........when I find it I find it.

 

I also just got done watching the American Ninja movies so I'm kinda excited (for some reason) to have some crazy Ninja tomfoolery #US1#
