Christopher Reeve Rip

growing up, when i think superman, christopher reeves instinctively comes to mind. to me, he set the benchmark for that role. it is sad to hear of his passing, especially since he has made so many strides towards a recovery. he was truly someone i admired, not just for his role as superman, but also his efforts in his battle to overcome his spinal chord injuries. he was a true role model and someone who embodied the ideals of a hero. he will be missed.

Quite ironic, as I rented the Superman Movie on Saturday.

 

Goodbye Chris, I still need to watch all your movies, but you will be missed. Now that kills all my hope of a Supes-Bats crossover if Stem cell research helped Chris.

I was watching a segment on Entertainment Tonight about him and its amazing all the projects he has worked on since his injury from directing to acting. Truely a Superman among men, he will be missed.

i know its already been said but christoper was superman, i remember watching him on the screen when i was little and that was my first image of superman. thats how i have always seen superman and it is truly sad that such a great man is gone, but now he can walk and have no pain

I don't know- I'm not one to complain that often about small things, but I'm not too fond of the title of this post. "Superman is Dead- for real this time." I'm sure you meant no disrespect, but it just comes off as...well..not as sincere as it should. Nor does the topic on the main page- "Christopher Reeve has died!" I suppose it would just be more appropriate if the main page said something more along the lines of "Christopher Reeve passes away at the age of 52." But in all honesty, yes, he was Superman, but only on screen. I will remember him most for who he was- Christopher Reeve. A man that never stopped smiling even with what he faced. He was brave, and was one of those people that you never knew on a personal level, but was indeed in your heart.
