So, I saw a gray hair today and struck me as funny that I have some gray hair and collect GI Joe.

I know a lot of us are about 30 years old.

Yes, this is a lame GI Joe topic, but might be worth hearing about as adult collectors.

So, what's your hair status? :-)

I'm 22 and have grays and my color's lightening. Has nothing to do with age, just genetics.

well, actually emotional state and stress is a big factor also (especially when you're older (ie daily grind, finances, family, kids, nagging wife, etc). ;) as for me, who knows i might have some, but since i'm a baldy, i don't let my hair grow out enough to ever see. ^_^

I'm 29, going on 30 on December 31st, and have no gray hair on my head yet (I do have a single gray hair that grows on my chin along with the other stubble, but I shave it all off)

My hair has actually darkened in the last few years. It used to be a light auburn, but is now dark auburn. It is also showing no signs of thinning. I have always had think hair, and it still remains thick.

The length of it is now about halfway between my shoulders and the middle of my back.

For me it's genetics, dad was gray by 30, his grandfather was the same. My uncle on my mother's side turned early as well.

I've been expecting it, it's why I've always kept my hair really short.

  • 5 years later...

Bump. 5 and a half years later, it's time for a hair status update!

I trim all the grey hairs out one by one on top, so it's managable. There's more grey mixed in the sides which I couldn't trim out, but because I keep the sides shaved down very short it's not really noticable. There is also a little tuft of grey in the center of my manly chest hair.

This pic is about a year old, but my hair still looks just like that...

Also, in the last 5 years I started spelling grey with an "e" instead of an "a". :P

30 years old no greys (I'm Canadian, we spell it with an 'e') on top of my head I have some in my beard if I don't shave for a few days.

Used to have blazingly bright red hair as I've gotten older it's gone into a light brown only some red hair left on my temples and sideburns.

Holy out of nowhere batman!

Still no Grey hair... on my head. A really surprising oddly located white patch but not on my head.
