Original Viper Moc 1987

Would you say these have gone up in value or down with all the recent rereleases of the mold.

The Viper being used now is NOT the exact same mold as the original one.

My guess is the construction original will give it the edge in the long run.

I don't really have any of the original Vipers and thought I have quite a few of the repaints I'd still like to go and get me some 1986 versions simply because Hasbro hasn't really given us anything that is close in colors. Now the Blue Shirts on the other hand . . . .

I would be happy just to have the current mold Vipers IN v1 colors, with full detailing. And by that I mean real painted glove and lower pants legs a different color than the boots. Something comperable on the level of the 1998 TRU Cobra Infantry 3-pack. Maybe even paint up the shin pad and buckles on the boots.

Sure remolding the pants would be great, but this way we could have new decent colored Vipers and STILL maintain the uniqueness of the original for the collectors. Best of both worlds

Now there's a great idea. Wish Hasbro would do it.

One thing I don't like about the current BAT legs they use for the Viper though is how they fit. A few of my repaint Vipers seem to have problems standing up the right way. One leg just won't stay pointing straight down but rather pops outward. A couple are so bad I either need a figure stand or I need to prop them up against something. It's wierd.
