My Redesigned He-man

[HUSH]

This is how he would look if I was given the job of redesigning He-Man for a new generation-

 

 

 

No mullet for my He-Man.I've given him a more streamlined hair style.I gave him a short ponytail so that he still has that rugged look.I also gave him a black pearl ear ring for a modern feel.And as not to dissapoint old fans I gave him a pendant chain with the old school cross symbol on it.

 

 

 

I gave him his signiture fur loincloth still.I just wanted to make him look more like a warrior than a male model.

 

 

 

The Sword of Greyskull.So that the sword has more of a connection with Castle Greyskull the hilt is actually made from the stone walls of the castle.The sword is huge!!!!

about 5 to 6 feet long.

 

I'm gonna redesign Skelator next...Thats gonna be a blast!!!!!

I really like your body and sword redesigns, but something about the head doesn't sit well though.

 

I think it has something to do with the lite facial hair and the earring, I think he just looks a bit TOO rough.

 

Though, it could work for some kind of future story when Skeletor or Hordak or whoever conquers Eternia and He-Man must go into hiding...

I like the design of the harness and the overall look of the outfit but the earring and ponytail just don't seem to fit in. The design of the sword is interesting but the length is a little out there. Your artwork itself is very good. The harness would look cooler with the cross on it instead of the medallion.

Great Drawings, but I as well think that the ponytail looks like a mullet, pulled into a ponytail. I think the seventies shaggy look suits He-Man best. Also, using the stone of Grayskull on the sword looks great, but it's so big, I thinks it's a little too similar to Inuyasha's Tetsusaiga Sword. But other than my two little rants, the drawings are great, keep up the good work!

great job... i really like your interpretation. especially the idea of giving him a dragon slayer type sword (berserk inspired perhaps?). however he looks almost a bit too dark but i like that though he does have some evil looking eyes.

though he still has that business up front party in the back mullet going for him (the hair on top is too short thus creating the mullet). still great job.

i agree with the rest / The earrings and the ponytail makes him look weird. Like mean weird. Also, the chain makes him look like he's showing off some bling, bling.

The sword was indeed inspired by Berserk(my favorite anime')

I will re-design the head and hair later today.I was going for a dark MotU feel.Kinda more Conan than campy 80's MotU.Skeletor is really cruel and has killed thousands of Eternians.I'll update my design tho.Also there's no Prince Adam only He-Man and he's more like a soldier that a super hero.

The new head design looks good Hush. I'd be interested in seeing you do redesigns of Teela and She-Ra. If you had the chance to redesign those gals what would they look like?

Never really been into She-Ra so chances of seeing her are slim.But Teela however.Hmmmmmmmm.....

Now that captures the look I think you were going for in the first drawing much better. I really like this version.

Highlander is most likely referring to the H cross that has been used on the current version of He-Man in the cartoon, comic book and action figure. Hush, I think your He-Man redesign looks better now with the classic cross on the harness and belt. Good job. #US1#

Great art, I'm just not liking the face. His glare reminds me of how frank castle stares in hate as the punisher. Heman has always had a little more upbeat feeling to him.
