Details On The Return Of Tough Enough!

Don't expect the next Linda Miles or Jackie Gayda out of the resurrected Tough Enough this fall. There won't be any female contestants according to an Associated Press report that ran today. Instead, there will be 8 male contestants (down from the traditional 13) competing for the four year, $250,000 a year WWE deal that goes to the victor.

The current plan (similar to the current Diva Search on Raw) will be to begin airing Tough Enough segments during Smackdown episodes this October through December. WWE fans will get to vote each week to see who they want to continue, with the lowest vote-getter being dropped from the contest.

The winners of Tough Enough 1, Maven and Nidia are currently regulars on the Raw roster. Season 2 winner Jackie Gayda is featured on the Smackdown roster. Season 2 winner Linda Miles appeared as Shaniqua before being sent down to the developmental territory. Season 3 winner Matt Cappotelli is waiting to be called up to the Smackdown roster while Season 3 winner Johnny Nitro was a regular on Raw and is expected to be brought back up from OVW in a babyface role down the line.
