Darth Vader Figure Case Found in Southern Ca.

I saw both of them at a local Walmart 2 days ago but forgot to post it. The Darth Vader Case comes with Boba Fett and a Stormtrooper, and the C-3PO Case comes with Han and Chewy. All the figures are reissues, just like the Cases.

I got it for Christmas in 1983.

my wally world had vader , fett and c3-po. I wasn't sure what else was suppose to be in the assortment.

What assortment are you talking about? I was talking about the Figure Case, that holds the figures. There are only two of them, Darth Vader and C-3PO.

found it Christmas morning. I thought that case was one of the

best presents I could have recieved that year.

I still remember saving my money for the vintage Vader case. I guess I wanted it after seeing it in a Sunday paper suppliment.

There weren't any figures included, it just had the 'rails' (to hold the figures in), a sticker sheet (with the names of figures), and an insert showing where the figures fit.

 

 

And yeah, you had to be carefull, for half of the figures to stay in. The peg on the on my top 'rail' broke, so, those fell out no matter what <_>

God I hated that! :angry:

 

But the sweetest part about the case was the stickers of the names of all the figures in that set....Remember? It would say Luke Skywalker (X-Wing Pilot)....I used to set them up in the order of my favorite figures.....

 

God I miss being a kid.

Any remember the old vynal cases with the 2 removeable trays that you could take our and flip over and it had figure pegs so you could stand your figures and the front of the cases had images from the movies? I like those cases alot beter than the later Vader and 3-po ones as others have mentioned the figures would always fall out of.

I had the Darth Vader case and the Laser Rifle case. My brother had the C-3P0 case.

Yeah, I had the 'ANH'; I really liked the double functionality of the trays. I'd probably buy a few if the made them again. In addition to the SW and Vader cases (which I actually use(d)), I also bought a few of the POTF2 Falcon cases just for the pack-ins.

Just got back from my Wal-Mart and found the Vintage Styled OTC Collectors Cases. They look just like the old vintage ones! They had the Darth Vader case that came with a Boba Fett and a Stormtrooper figure, and they had a C-3Po carry case that came with 2 other figures that for some reason I can't remember right now...heh. Picked up the Vade rcase for $21.99.

Yes, they do. The C-3PO stickers are gold with white lettering, and the Darth Vader stickers are black with white lettering. My Wal-Mart just got them in for $21 or so bucks a pop. The two figures are a nice pack in. Maybe they will bring a younger generation into the Original Trilogy Star Wars figs.

^do the cases have inserts (kind of like this, but, shows where the figs would fit in the case)? Are the figs featured (on the stickers/insert) basicaly just the 38 OTC figs?

I didn't notice inserts advertised on the back of the case, but there was an picture of figures in the case on the back. The stciker lettering was fairly small, and I didn't catch all the names. When I head back I'll find the answers for you, Bespin.

Galactic Hunter has a rundown on the cases, here are the details:

Vader case-

The case can hold up to 31 figures if you can fit one figure in each compartment, although a few of them are a little narrow for modern figures.

Also included... is a label sheet listing all 38 Original Trilogy Collection figures....

The Stormtrooper is identical to the figure released in the Imperial Forces gift set from a couple of years back, as it's made of the Power of the Jedi Sandtrooper with a few modifications... It includes the POTF2-style large Blaster Pistol.

Boba Fett is nearly identical to the Original Trilogy Collection release in terms of decoration, but does not include the flame "base," nor does it include the blaster shot.

 

C-3PO case

there are 35 compartments which can hold figures securely....

The Han Solo figure offers nothing new from previous versions, as the paint job, sculpt, and accessories appear to be the same as before. Chewbacca is the same as the POTJ, Saga, and OTC releases except it now does not include any wielding arc or goggles-- just the POTF2-style bowcaster.

I'm assuming the 3PO case has the same label sheet as the Vader one, just in different colors

Thier a little different...Boba is standing normal (unlike the OTC where he is rocketing upward)...and stormy is upright as well, with ablaster intead of a rifle..
