Otfcc Sent Max Photos Faked?

I got word that the boxes on the OTFCC homepage are actually say:

"Transformers Energon Supercon Prime '04" and that the text was intentionally blurred.

 

 

 

I can't tell if that's true or not, BUT the second picture does have the words Prime '04

Remember that there were also boxes labeled "Prowl" seen as well, which if I remember were just Vince DiCola CDs.

 

I suspect that it was just a name stamped on the box (and may have been a measure to prevent any theft). I think you are reading too much into this.

Dude, no offense Scottie, but I think you are taking this OTFCC thing way too seriously. I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but you act like they have this huge scheme to rip everyone off. The monkeys who run the show are just business-##$%$#ed, thats all. Besides, even if they did try to rip people off, theres no way they wouldn't have a huge class action lawsuit at there doorstep. I understand that Glenn and his crew have screwed this thing up to the point of sheer insanity, but come on, the dude was almost in tears at the con! People threatening his family and all. I totally agree that he should not be running this convention anymore, and that he is not a good business man whatsoever, but I think everyone should cut the guy some slack, and get off his nuts. He has had the biggest streak of bad luck, afterall.

The official line from OTFCC is yes the pics were altered to blur the name.

 

Yes, I did blur the box caption including the word 'BotCon' out of these pictures, out of respect to the holders of that name, and given that BotCon is currently known as an unofficial TF convention, it seemed appropriate to avoid confusion. This is how the boxes came labeled from the manufacturer, but I felt it was inappropriate to display this label prominently in an official OTFCC release. I hope you enjoy these pictures demonstrating the current status of Sentinel Maximus.

 

As for the other text on the box, speculate away! Have fun.

Maybe it's true. Maybe I'm too much of a pessimist when it comes to these guys. But their track record ain't that great. If Sent Max arrives they'll still owe me $16 refund for the Defensor and $32 worth of Fan Club stuff. If that ever gets sorted out, I will never have to deal with them again.

Yeah, I paid $40 and got my magazine cause they happened to have it with them at Wizard World. I think they did it intentionally to so they dont have to pay shipping due to people asking and them saying, OH we have it right here.

Well honestly I don't think you guys are gonna have to worry about it to much longer but regarldess Im pretty sure the threats were real and I dont care how much 3h messes up that just BS, for people to do that. Second some of these so called sites seem to take joy in fanning the flame, some I would say with alterior motives and then Sibertron declaring war on a someone for ripping people off seems a bit hypicritical cause weren't these the guys that got into some serious hot water taking people's money for comic books and then not delievering the books a year or so ago????

 

But regrdless as I said I think soon whether you like 3h or not it will be a moot point.

Okay I see your point Scottie, I really do. If I had actually joined the club like I was planning on doing last year, and got ripped, I 'd be pretty pissed too. What I would not do is threaten his family, or bring someone else who isn't involved into it for forty bucks. Glen is a moron, we have well established that fact, but his family had nothing to do with it and should be left alone. If Glen is lying about that and pretending to cry just to make himself look good, then I hope he enjoys his time in prison for ripping people off. I kinda think that he really didn't do this on purpose, but one bad problem led to another and it just snowballed. When he makes those statements that turn out to be lies, I think he really thought whatever he said was going to happen, but it just got delayed. After all these problems I think maybe someone is trying to tell him that maybe its time he put away is cowboy hat and led someone else take over the reigns.

I for one do not want that! WHat I do want is for someone else to manage it yes! How ever I like the excluisves & the universe comic they put out & do not want that to change!

 

Speaking of the comic when are we suppose to get ours? All the new comics that were out & printed at the con will be out to those who preordered them when? :S

 

Allso... the whole other site thing "declaring war" on them is a bit of an excageration is it not? All they did was put up some rumor from some guy blabing about how he thinks otfcc won't be around next year... They put it in the rumors section which does not represent the views of that site! There for that site declaring war on them is WAYYYYYYYYYYYY overrated!
