- Carmella DeCesare basically told WWE management at the last minute that she had to be somewhere else and that she wouldn't be coming to the SummerSlam PPV. Word is that Carmella has not had a good attitude at all throughout the contest.

 

- All signs continue to indicate that Triple H has firmly secured his spot as the #2 man in WWE behind only Vince McMahon. Vince is getting along extremely well with Triple H. Shane McMahon was backstage at the PPV yesterday but word is that Vince spent most of his time with Triple H anyway. The general feeling is that Vince treats Triple H as if he was his real son.

 

- WWE feels that the 'Taker/JBL match at Summerslam was not well received due to how little interaction 'Taker had with JBL leading up to the match itself.

 

- One theory is that the Undertaker used his stroke to get the Heidenreich program dropped since he knew that it would be tough to get anything good out of Heidenreich.

 

- It appears that the Undertaker and Kurt Angle are using their power backstage to be positioned as the clear top stars on Smackdown. Angle wants to eventually have a major program with the Undertaker over the WWE Title. Angle has apparently lobbied to have a match with Eddie Guerrero on Smackdown where he wins the WWE Title and Guerrero is then thrown into a feud with Luther Reigns. Some of Smackdown's wrestlers are now viewing Kurt Angle and the Undertaker as the Triple H's of Smackdown due to their power and control of the booking and direction of the brand.

The Taker/JBL match could have been approached better, with a better lead-up and everything. Oh well, people did the wave and yelled "spanish table" at least.
