Are The New $10 Figures Shorter?

I was at TRU last night, and they had a Luke and Han from the $10 line. I almost bought the Luke, when I noticed that both Luke and Han appear shorter than figures from the $5 line (I was comparing them to the AT-ST Han figure). Are they shorter, or does the packaging just make them look shorter?

I think they are a bit shorter.

Maybe they 'revised' the scale on this line? (to ensure a 7"+ Chewie would fit on the card correctly) There may have also been a dfifferent 'team' working on this line.

Although, I don't think scale has been completely consistant (ie: Saga Hoth soldier )

I compared mine to the other versions and the Luke is a little shorter than the new Jedi versions and X-Wing pilot.

 

The Leia is the same size as the new scaled versions, Hoth and Slave.

 

Han and Obi-Wan are the same as the other Han's and Obi-Wan's.

Luke is the one that is tiny and too smal imo. It is one of the things that bugs me about that figure.

the luke doesnt really bother me i kinda like em....he seems in scale because how he is a little taller than leia and like a head shorter than han so the scale really doesnt bother me.....especially when u think mark hamill was like 5'7 and harrison ford was like 6'2...things start looking in scale...thats my 2 cents

In A New Hope Luke had different boots or whatever on too.

 

The other movies he kinda had Rebel issue boots.

 

Maybe the boots make a hight difference.
