Optimuses Throughout The Series

it seems like every series the current optimus/prime/convoy aside from the original prime always needed someone to help or join them to defeat the season current megs. so far i have

optimus primal=needed primes spark to upgrade himself

lioconvoy=needed optimus primal to defeat mega zarak

optimus prime(rid)=ultra magnus

optimus priume(armada)=jetfire, overload, sparkplug

optimus prime(energon)=opunits 1-4, omega, wing dagger

the list of helpers actually seems to be getting bigger.i actually like this because thinking back to g1 prime you remember hes taken on the decepticon army, fell off a mountain and still ok,fell from space after falling off mountain, survived a direct attack from laserbeak to his open chest in "divide and conquer" and lets not forget his final battle with megs.unlike primes nowadays he did this stuff alone and knowing this it kinda makes g1 prime kinda special and immortal to tffans

what are your thoughts on this?

G1 Prime was the best, he didn't need any help from augmentations or combiners to fight the cons. (I guess you could call the matrix an augmentation couldnt't you?) What about powermaster prime, he combined with his trailer to form a larger bot, would he be considered a G1 prime?

Technically, PM Optimus Prime wasn't Optimus Prime at all. Hasbro just named the character that way because he looked a lot like G1 Prime.

In Japan (where the character actually appeared in the cartoon unlike in the West), "Powermaster Optimus Prime" was God Ginrai. A completely different character to Optimus Prime. Prime had died again in the Japanese mythology by the time God Ginrai was introduced.

It all really depends on which mythology you like best: the Marvel transverse has PM Prime as the leader against Scorponok (who replaced Galvatron), so in that case he counts as a Prime. He needed help from Hi-Q (to stay on topic :D), but in the end didn't defeat Scorponok if i remember correctly...

The US only had PM Prime as a stupid talking puppet who introduced G2-episodes.

Europe was spared that disgrace (unlike the other stupid thing about the G2-cartoon: the Cybercube) and only had the figure as a toy (also called PM Prime over here).

There you have it.

Cheers,

HN.

Ok here's my opinion, who is just about everybody's fav character? OP, Hastak knows that as well. Does OP sell, hell yeah no matter how they make him he sells, energon is proof enough. Now if OP sells no matter what how do we make extra money off of what already sells? add ons, every retailers big thing encourage add-ons. Oh you just brought a cpu, don't forget to get a printer, scanner, copier, fax, and everything else you can get to go with.....same thing for OP, oh Yes you brought OP but check it out, to get his other form buy Jetfire and Overload, and Ultra Magnus, and Wing Saber and OS, it's all about money.
