New Single Packs, Etc

okay this is weird but...

 

1. wasn't there a different line up for a wave 2 of the single packs?  at least at  one point or was that another line up of mission discs?

 

2. Didn't someone at the con tell the fans that the market test failed for the single packs??? not trying to be negitive or scare anybody but that was my understanding. and this definately need to be avaible at as many places as possible.

 

3. Why didn't we get an 0-ring stormy in the battle in the box?

1) That was the canceled Missio Disk figures.

 

2) Yeah, I think it was said that the first wave was a test run that failed. But that may mean that BECAUSE it failed, they will do a better job of getting this wave to us.

 

3) Was he supposed to be in there?

Yeah but i remember a list for single pack wave 2 including a viper maybe i was dreaming though.

Can't say whether or not the V3 Alpine will replace the original, but I agree, if this guy has full pants, he just might.

Can't wait to get the single packs. Scarlett looks awesome...great colors! The Red BAT looks magically delicious but when you put all the BAT v4's together, it is going to look like a bowl of Lucky Charms (Purple, Red, Brownish-Red, Yellow, etc.)?

 

I can do without the Ringneck/Smokescreen set...looks like they are trying to get rid of extra Spy Troops stock.

 

I agree with Draven, the Alley Viper 2 looks better in red although they need to redo him already...he needs an update fast!

 

And yes...another Duke...looks like the Twins need another giveaway

I like the Alley Viper and the Bat, those are my two favorites, now to find a CVS around me......might have to take a trip to LA when they come out.

Well, the first O-Ring Storm Shadow was supposed to come out in the new Mission Disk set that got canceled.

That's okay. I mix mine and I like the RAH version the best. Usually, I use the most recent version as THE version of the character, so if this one looks good (and I can actually pick one up, heh), he might replace the RAH one for me.

Personally I think the Tiger Force version from wave 5 is miles better than either this version or the wave 2 one: a completely different colour scheme really, really helps the figure sooo much(though not quiote up to beating V1 on its own merits). I get the feeling High tech would benefit just as much from a similar treatment

 

off on tanjent: Wave 3 Tunnel Rat is interesting though: I bought two and painted the yellow straps black on one: the difference is almost unbelievable: compeltely alters the feel of the figure: the wave 6 version looks to be similar in several of the con pictures

No kidding. Not unless they seriously step up distribution practices. When you do a test in such a limited area, of COURSE youre gonna have limited success.

I haven't liked any of the new sculpt Tiger Force figures because they don't fit in with the RAH ones. The originals had a kinda uniformity that the new ones don't really have. Roadblock, for example, is just the regular version with some black stripes on the vest. Pretty lame.

 

Got any pictures of that Tunnel Rat you altered?

I agree. I tend to keep the JvC versions in their own seperate microcosms since the the two design philosophies. generally won't mix all that well.

 

Which is a shame since I actuslly LIKE the colors on the PP Viper / Televiper set. I wish they'd do up the current RAH style Viper like that. If they could only re-cast the TV head they could put in on a Sci-Fi v2 body with Pathfinder arms you could have a passable RAH Televiper too.
