One thing I don't like about the HISS1/ASP combo is the packaging. I don't like the stickers preapplied, vehicles pre-built [minor thing] and I sure as hell hate the fact there's nothing protecting and/or sealing the product from dust/dirt, idiotic passerby patrons and general fools that might be messing with the toys.

OMG, lets just say i'm happy beyond belief. I just logged on for the first time since early today and man I speechless. I love the red Wild Weasel. The TF figs and desert figs are sweet too. I'm also really digging the new Torch, Ninja Viper, o ring Stormie, Kamakura and Duke. Hot damn to much to intake still.

It's probably just a package mock-up.

Nah, the AWE Striker was like that. The whole JvC/VvV packaging-style stinks.

@bounce@ Woah! These are great! How did VvV go from being so bad to so great in one wave? Maybe Hasbro shouldn't have shown us these figures so soon 'cause with all these superior repainits coming out I can think of a few 2-packs and vehicles I'll be skipping now.

Someone on Yojoe confirmed that the HISS/ASP combo is a K-Mart exclusive @grumpy@ . Does anyone else get the feeling Hasbro doesn't want to reissue the Crimson Guard figure? I guess I'll be getting it from ebay, Because I'm not driving across the country to find it.

You could just order it from their website.

While I am blown away two things I would like to see are the rest of the missing October Guard, a Medi Viper (finally like he was in the early comics), and if we're doing reissue figures with comics, what about some vehicles. An October Guard vehicle, Cobra Sea Legs, and so on. They could mine this idea for many years and it would be nice to see a few more Cobras thrown in though. Dr Venom anyone?

It would probably be easy to steal the CGs out of the package like that too. And you KNOW people will...

That's the first thing I thought, too! I'm guessing these will be sealed on the box like the CCC or Thunderwing...

I'm a little skeptical. Last convention we all wanted the Night force set because the figures were painted very nicely and looked smooth. But then they messed it up with different paints of the pants and shirt. Is anyone here worried that Hasbro might screw up some sets and mess up their paintjob like they did with the Night force set?

The urban and Ninja set may look great at the con but when its time to get it in retail, we get mediocre figures with mediocre paintjobs..... Just food for your thoughts.

It wasn't the paint apps that sucked (well, partly, heh), it was the crappy equipment selection. Common on, a mortar solider WITHOUT A MORTAR? None of the guys had their correct gear even though we KNOW that several of them still HAVE their gear available (like Roadblock and Beach Head).

That is one thing about the RAH figures, sometimes the gear made the toy.

PRAISE GOD !!! It looks like we've finally done it. Hasbro has finally opened their ears to us, the collectors. I am in awe of what I am seeing. Welcome back, G.I. Joe. Praise be.

When I came in to work, today, I was suffering from a sinus infection that I've had for a week. Then, I get on the computer and saw the pics. My spirits were instantly lifted, and I feel a whole lot better.

Me too! Although I just had surgery this morning to fix my sinuses AND remove my tonsils @grumpy@ I logged on and saw all this great stuff and it made me feel a whole lot better too!

Hope you get better SCI-FI! #US1#

That is a great point. I really liked the protos of the Night Force set; I wonder if those Ninja figures will still have the nice drybrushed look or just be solid-colored...

I am mostly happy with everything but some things are still getting on my nerves, like no pants on alpine, Green ncs? did they rip this from brents sig? yeah i love ncs and would buy em any color but i want purple and black first!

Did anyone else notice cc's mask is now painted black on the ridges, he looks more like the vipers face plate!

I can't express in words how dissapointed i am with the decsion for the viper to be python patrol, why? just why?

when are dice ( i mean slash) and slice o -rings going to be out?

i need to see that overkill! lol though i think it is just a repaint isn't?

i'm not into rah, really i'm just not, but dude you rah guys must be about to $h!t your pants.

why crimson? why not black or blue?

we realy need a newsculpt crimson Gaurd!

More like piss in our Post Toasties.

You dont know thats going to happen for a fact. How about we actually WAIT to see the final product before declaring it a failure, Captain Buzzkill?

Im just dissapointed they wasted the Python designs on the 3V rather than RAH style. Lets keep the RAH teams with RAH molds only. The two need to be kept seperate. Make a NEW team if you gotta use the newer stuff.

I WILL concede however the colors work a lot better here than the original issue.

Kinda reminds me of the Interrogator. Just paint the faceplate red and give him a repainted IG body.

Nah. THe RAH one is fine. They just need to restore the original head. They already screwed up the 3V Viper and Alley-Viper. Id rather not have them messing up another classic design.
