Army Builder Sets

They said all we have to do is buy enough to convince retailers to carry em and they said they would make em. Seeing how the COBRA Infantry pack sold out three times in the same day they were posted, it sent a good message.

I would personally love to see a Viper pack of regular Vipers. Hold your fire guys. I know we have seen alot of that trooper since 1997, but I never really had an opportunity to get enought to actually count as an army. I just want a six pack of the Viper so that way I can set them aside and say, this is my real Viper, all the others are just officers/specialists.

They would be a real big hit if they actually fix all the existing problems that has plagued the last 4-5 repaints; gloves, boots, tilted head and the absense of original gear. Throw in a decent color scheme with and I'm there... army building.

If they really want this one to be a success, have it 90-95% close to looking like the original.

I'm still waiting on the Fan Choice Urban Strike team that was supposed to have SS, NC, and the Alley Viper.

Other suitable choices have been posted many times by many people. Night Vipers, Night Creepers, and Crimson Guards are at the top of my list.

There are a couple of ideas for army builder sets that I have:

Destro's Iron Grenadiers

--This would consist of a couple of black Iron Grenadiers, a couple of Annihlators (repainted, though, cuz I don't think the orange would go over so well anymore), a Nullifier and maybe Voltor to lead them? Darklon possibly?

Nightcreepers

--5 Nightcreepers, but I think they need a darker color scheme. Am I the only one that liked their original colors?? The 6th figure would have to be Aleph, or whatever the Leader's name was. It'd be cool if this set was painted in a deep crimson color and the leader was renamed Sei Tin.

A few new 2-packs of the troop builders would be tits as well. New Night Vipers would rock the house. I recently bought 3 more Tigerhawks and repainted them into Firebats, turning the Ace figures into Strato-Vipers, so I think it'd be neat to see a pilot 2-pack as well containing a Strato-Viper and a Heli-Viper to fly the Fangs. Eh, just my two cents!

Well, we KNOW they have the classic Viper backpack at the very least, from the convention set two years ago. And JvC Beach-Head had a version of the Viper rifle that was molested by a SOUND ATTACK tab. Of course theres been no idica they have working molds of the unmodified original, and theres been plenty of opportunities. (Viper re-issues arent the ONLY figures the rifles can be packed with, and we know Hasbro has a bone in its pants for packing gear indiscrimately)

I could probably live with v2 Dusty's sliding stock rifle and pistol, since those have been packed with Vipers before. Better than Baroness' laser riffle. Im rather tired of that weapon. Duke's recent Carbine is a nice generic looking infantry weapon. And Vipers look nice holding it.

Make them similar to the 85 Viper paintstyle, but give the BAT legs the metal shinplates on the boots and paint a red pinstripe down the legs.

Four regular Vipers, one field sergeant and one officer. Or five Vipers and an officers.

Ok, heres my 3 cents worth.

Figures I'd like to see in a multi pack( 2 or 6 packs)

-Vipers( any would work, but prefer v1 molds w/ original paint schme)

-Iron Grenadiers( the original molds would be cool, but the new molds

also are nice)

-Crimson Guards

-Snow Serpents( would rather see the v1 molds & colors re-used but

the new scupts are also nice)

Later...~Wyld~
