What Are The Differences?

I know about the New Years Megatron and Optimus, and I know of the cool toon-accurate Starscream. But what are the main differences in the general re-issues between Takara and Hasbro? Does one or the other have more die-cast parts perhaps, or maybe even more accurate weapons? What are the differences?

I would have to say Takara's reissues pay more homage to the G1 originals. Chrome weapons, exact details, more working parts, better materials used: just a few examples of the things Takara does over Hasbro. Maybe if kids from the US wouldn't poke their eyes out with Prime's smoke stacks and swallow pellets unlike Japanese children, Hasbro would push for extra detail as well. @loll@

Hasbro thinks US Parents are lame and don't do a good job parenting their children; thats why they have to add "safty" features in their toys or the lame Parents would sue them. Japan doesn't have these problems.

but this is another issue.....

Japan does have the same problems, It's just they have enough children that some of them are expendable. @smilepunch@

I gotta go with Takara on reissues.

i like them more too, but i buy both and doubles or more...hehehehehe

I just buy one of each depending on the figure. I can use the extra cash for other items on my other lines.

we don't need racism in this forum guys

i was just talking about popluation when i brought up China and India.

As for parenting, I think America has a lot of frivolous lawsuits, and was pointing out that as one of the main reasons we have so many "child safety" laws effecting the toys we love.

=)

#US1# America still is NO 1# in my book though (just with "safer" toys?)

hehehehehe

I try and stick with Takara, but Hasbro has done things that make getting their reissues worth getting like reissuing some characters before Takara. I was very glad to get the seekers, and Red Alert as well. I more or less go with who comes with the reissue first.
