What Is Your Transormers Budget?

I've heard people say "I wish I don't have the money" or "I can't afford that" a couple of times. Take the time here to describe your resources for purchasing Transformers. I can throw down 50 bucks a week when I need to, but I rarely do, though I did last week(OTFCC Roulette/Shadow Striker + G1 Astrotrain gun). I actually have about 75-80 bucks I could blow right now if I was sure what my car expenses were. I seem to be on the high end of resources here on this board.

Dude, you sound exactly like me; I'm right around thirty to fifty bucks a pop, but that's every two weeks when I get paid. Now I do alot better when I get rid of stuff on eBay occaisionally, but I only have so much stuff I can sell. My wife and I are trying to pay off bills so we can have a house, so I'm kinda limited as to what I can do unless I save a few weeks. So as you can imagine, the G1 re-issues are my number-one priority right now.

Is that supposed to read I wish, but I cant afford that? The way it's written now is I wish I couldnt afford it.

Anyways, for me, it's the second I see it, the second I buy it. Toy wise anyways. Ebay however I run in stages. Like right now im trying to complete Combiners (individual weapons and such) so I buy and try to get good deals but splurge cause you dont know when theyll pop up again.

usually i buy just some here and there: sometimes months at a time, because the larger ones are expensive and i collect other lines like gi joe, spawn, godzilla, and some star wars. As of late though, i have spent like 100-150 this month alone on transformers catching up with many of the energon figures. still want to pick up 20th ann. prime and some reissues. i have transformers fever.

I dont have a budget at all, I make a few hundred extra bucks a year that I CAN put towards transformers, but I have other hobbies, and things to do as well.

80% of the new transformers I get are gifts, the other 20% are ones I get for really cheap, or just happen to have the money when i'm passing by a Toys R Us and they have a re-issue I need.

I put about 2 or 300 dollars a year into my collections.

Well, I have 250 Euro's (after having paid all my monthly costs) that I can spend monthly on whatever I like!!

- But I have 2 hobbies curently: Formula1 and TF........

So I still need to be carefull on what I use my money for.

(currently my goal is to get a Takara MP Prime soon)

I have $170 a month... That's what me and my wife budgeted for each of us... not that we are hurting for money, but we are saving to buy a house... a bigger place to display the TFs :)

I just spent $90 this afternoon on some...

Unless you display them seperatly you should just focas on there main combined mode parts that you don't have if any other wise its just a waste to spend the $ to have em sitting in a box someplace...

Orrr you should save up all this lil bit here & lil bit there & buy one of them great big lots you see pop up every so offten, could even keep a few figures & sell off the rest I'm sure either to board memebers here or right back on ebay

I normally can spend around $50-$100 per month, it depends on how many comics or toys from other lines I get. I recently saved enough to buy the Masterpiece Convoy, at last.

That sounds exactly like my situation, but it comes to alot less than that a month; more like 60 or 70. But sometimes my wife bribes me to do stuff by buying me an extra Transformer or a few new figures I don't have. (I'm not joking...pathetic huh.) I'm weak and I can be bought. (lol)

We too are trying to save and pay off bills in order to get a home of our own. My motivation is to have a toy room to actually display my stuff in. That's the dream...

But this past week, due to eBay, I just spent about $170.00 on Transformers. I've bought so much crap the last few years that I can sell some stuff on eBay every now and then in order to suppliment my addict...er, I mean hobby. (lol) But that gravy train's gonna come to an end when I run out of stuff I'm willing to sell.

I'm with SS49: if I see it and I want it, it's mine. I usually keep a couple hundred in my PP account and a few in my checking for TFs. I used to spend $150 - $225 on comics a month, but I only buy DW comics and a TokyoPop GN here and there now. After shelling out mucho dinero for comics for over 30 years, I just got tired of it (that, and the fact that I was running out of room). I'm in sell mode with comics now. Everything must go. If anyone wants a sweet deal on back issues, PM me.

I cannot afford any new Transformers... I have NO MONEY AT ALL.

As in Zero U.S. Dollar(s).

I would LOVE to buy Energon and the last few Takara Re-Issue and Hound an' Silverstreak... but I can't. I have less then nothing.

Last TF I got... Alternators Sideswipe as a gift in February. Last TF I personally brought... probably Nemesis Prime around December I guess. I'm hoping this Wednesday I find Hound in the city... my lovely girlfriend will be with me... and her kindness... is plentiful.
