What Combine Style Do You Prefer?

The original style, like Devastator, 6 small bots that are all the same size and form one larger bot.

The traditional stlye, like Superion, 1 large bot (body), 4 small bots (limbs) that form a larger bot.

The Predacon style where 5 large bots combine for a large guestalt.

The newer inovative style like Railracer and Landfill.

I think Id rank mine:

Predacon stlye

Newer style

Devastator stlye

Traditional Style

Hmmm, well Devastator was a one shot only, so its difficult to compare. Rail ricer is one of the best combiners IMO, but th classic look of the menasor style is great too. hmmm, I'll go for classic five bots, menasor style.

@loll@ @loll@ Hm, ideally the Predacon style would [be] the perfect combiner they are very efficient in term of size and quantity.

On the hands, I like the Traditional Superion style more since it gave that sense of hiearchy with the body bot as leader.

I never like the Devatator style, it too un-effficeint and unsturdy.

So with that I'm going:

Tradition

Predacon

Aren't they three large bots? Like Magnaboss and Tripredacus.

BW combiners are the best because of the complexity of the transformation. I like it hard.

I also like the RID combiners, really good looking!

Devastator comes third in my top.

And at least, the classic G1 combiners. I don't really like the fact that all G1 combiners except Devastator are all the same pattern...1 big, 4 smalls. And almost no transformation for the limbs, just attach them to the body...

I like the combiners that you have to wonder slightly HOW they go together when you look at them - the RID ones like Landfill and Railracer, and also Devastator, although the nice thing about RID is that you don't have a heap of accessories you have to add to complete it :)

Mind you, pretty much all of them look pretty cool! Predacon and Bruticus especially :)

SS49 meant the G1 predacons, where 5 bots formed the huge gestault Predaking.

Magnaboss rules! One instance where three semi-crappy figures meld into an awesome piece. The sum is definitely greater than the parts in his case.

Predaking style for shizzle

Then Devastator style (there are more than one in that style srapperboy, you just haven't found the Jap combiners yet)

Then Bruticus Style

Then Star Saber style (armor & legs)

Then whatever else you said

Last?

Road Caesar style 3 equal size bots: 1 forms torso, 2 form legs. teeny baby arms...

This is my order of preference from favorite to least favorite:

1) Predaking / Liokaiser

2) New / Unique Style

3) Devastator / Landcross / Monstructor / Dinoking

4) Micromaster (five bots with another one forming the back)

5) Traditional / Scramble City

I would count the Beast Wars gestalts as "New Style" along with Landcross, Rail Racer, and the like. I don't know where Road Caesar would fit in. Technically, he's more like "new style" than anything else, but he's definitely not new.
