The Rock Visits A Swat Training Facility!

The Rock attended S.W.A.T. team training with the local Sheriff's department in Phoenix. He was there to promote Walking Tall in which he obviously plays a sheriff himself. He was hanging out with local news guy Brad Perry while they watched guys in full gear trying to climb a brick wall. The funny thing is that Brad Perry is a large man of color himself, but not really athletic, that appeared to be taller than the Rock at first. But after commercial they were just shown from the waste up at an angle that made the Rock appear taller. Not sure if that was intentional or not.

Later, him and our own Sheriff Joe Arpaio acted as if they knew each other and kissed each other's butts by saying they respected what the other one does for a living. If not familiar, Joe Arpaio is voted the Country's Toughest Sheriff for putting women and children on chain gangs, serving his inmates green bologna, making them wear pink underwear and solving overcrowding by housing them in tents that average 125+ degrees inside during the summer. They even plugged both of their books and displayed them together.

The Rock said his favorite movies growing up were real life based like Billy Jack and the original Walking Tall. He then briefly plugged the movie and said that he did all his own stunts except for one since it was determined it was too dangerous. At least he admitted that, unlike the full of crap Tom Cruise. They showed a few stunts of him slamming another actor, but that was about it. Sheriff Joe thanked him for making a movie about a Sheriff department, since it hasn't been done since the last Walking Tall. I guess Sylvester Stallone as a Sheriff in Copland doesn't count. Oh, and the Rock had a dress shirt which was unbuttoned far enough so you could see his ever growing tattoo covering his left pec. It was apparent that he wanted everyone to see it.
