Wave 2 Kamakura, Not So Bad!!!

Ok, this figure is pretty cool, he comes with a sheath (sp) which goes on his back, you place the sword in the sheath, squeeze his legs and his arm goes back and grabs the sword and brings it down and hes ready to fight.

 

Now when he does this it looks pretty sweet, it doesnt look cheap at all, this is actually a really cool feature for this figure, doesnt seem like he needs that leg articulation, im to busy making him draw and redraw his sword from his sheath, lol, this is fun!

I got mine today, after a minute of flipping the sword out of the sheath I decided to move his leg... big mistake... crack! no more magnetic sword grabbing action.

 

 

TM, unfortunately there is no beer grabbing action. If there was.... he would turn into the new Holy Grail of Joes.

he may not need leg articulation to draw his sword, but every Joe figure needs leg articulation to be considered a "real" G.I. Joe figure as far as I am concerned. the point of G.I. Joe has always been articulation and poseability, from the original days of the foot talls to the 3 inchers. unfortunately, Hasbro is more concerned about these gimmicks than making "G.I. Joe" figures. they should be stripped of the rights of making Joes.

Actually, I agree with NC on this one. Wave 2 Kamakura has been sitting in front of my computer for a week and every time I sit down, I pick it up and use the A/A to unsheath the sword.

Actually, I agree with NC on this one. Wave 2 Kamakura has been sitting in front of my computer for a week and every time I sit down, I pick it up and use the A/A to unsheath the sword.

See, some people just look at the figure and go "UGH!", but im sure if you actually mess arround with it, its kinda cool!

Don't get me wrong, I think the figure is crap too but when you actually get the figure perceptions can change. I thought the new Viper's colors were ass but they actually grew on me...

I intend to get the Kamakura/Destro pack, so I will withhold judgement on the Kamakura figure until I get it for myself.

Damn Brent....usually I agree with you on the things you say, but man you came way out of left field with this one. Granted the action attack feature is pretty nifty and would have been acceptable if it was incorporated into a real joe figure. Real meaning that said joe figure has what made Gijoe so loved back in the day and that the "Swivel Arm Battle Grip". Add on some bendy knee action and u've got yurself a real joe there. This monstrosity should be hurled over there with those no articulated hunks o plastic called Star Wars...then stomped on by an AT-AT. Brent I know u are a lover of Joe but man u gotta draw the line somewhere. Now if you excuse me, My melted down AA kamkura is ready to be chucked at my wife to show her that I love her
