Exit Raph?

From watching this episode, it seems to me that they are going to follow the comic and have Raph go out on his own soon. I hope not. I never was much into the comics but I do know that he does leave. Does he ever come back? I know there are a few sins he will commit (I think I lead a spoiler out already), but do you think he will rejoin the team? Will they even have him leave and bring back the Shredder another way?

The new series isn't following Mirage exactly. It is a different universe. Raph isn't going anywhere. If you've read the episode synopsis on the official site, you know exactly what's gonna happen for the rest of the season. Including the return of someone.

Being today my first episode I've ever watched of the new show, I'm not a great authority, but

 

(Spoiler, of course)

 

Shredder is actually an Utrom... so it'd be easy for him to return I guess

 

but The whole Raph-becoming Shredder thing was part of the third volume of TMNT from Image... and it isn't canon.. anotherwards, no one counts those stories

Tue, I know it isn't following the comics to the letter, but still, there's always a future season. I know it more than likely won't happen, but anything is possible with a cartoon.

We didn't see the TMNT escape the explosion in April's shop back in "The Shredder Strikes Back" either.
