G1 Galvatron Reissue

He is the last one i need for my megatron collection. But I do not want to pay ebay price. Does hasbro/takara still have the molds?what are the chances of them doing a reissue?I whould love it if they did a cartoon repaint of him.

A toon repaint reissue of Galvatron is right up there on my want list, behind a reissue of devastator and predaking.

As for a Galvatron reissue, be careful what you wish for. What is Galvatron going for these days on Ebay? $50? $60? $70? I haven't been checking G1 stuff on Ebay for a while so I don't really know. A takara reissue would probably be in the $60-70 range for us here in the western hemisphere, and probably would be available a lot sooner than a Hasbro version, which would be at least $40, probably more.

But then all theyd have to do is just simply not list in on the box. Ormaybe re-name the mode something like "Battle Sattelite". Goofy, but if it gets the job done...

 

 

But if Takara does indeed re-releases him, a cartoon color version would be likely.

@loll@ @loll@ I don't see any problem with Galvatron being reissue. I think if they reissue season 3 characters, Galvatron will be one of the first to get reissue because of his status as leader.

 

Galvatron main alt. mode is a cannon, so I think Hasbro may pass the gun issue thing. Regardless, Takara would have no problem with this, ehehe.

 

Yeah, I want Galvatron too. My Magnus need a rival......

I got a pretty good Galvy with only minor sticker wear off of EBay for like 45 bucks in 2002. It's just a matter of who wants him when, really.

 

An anime reissue would rock majorly, nonetheless.

I think the odds of seeing a G1 Galvatron here are alot better than the odds of a G1 Megatron. Who knows? Maybe Hasbro will beat Takara to the punch on doing one since Megs can't be done.

I'd like to see Galvatron reissued so I don't spend an arm and a leg for one at Cybercon. I'd love to see him anime accurate like he should be but chances of that are slimmer than him being reissued at all. Even if I did get one at a convention, I would still buy a cartoon accurate version.

You are quite clearly wrong on this point, coz of the many MANY cowboy guns/cop guns/ etc etc etc......................... on the market.

 

The reason Megs cant be done is he is a RELASTIC gun toy. Galvatron/Sixshot/etc are not realistic in the slightest, so there should be no problem in that respect

Not true. Hasbro already stated that they cannot do Sixshot at all because of his gun mode. Probably the same for Galvatron. We can only hope for Takara to put him out.

As long as the mold still exsist and in good shape, I think they might eventually reissue him. Since I dont have G1 Galvatron, a reissue would be welcome.

Funny thing is, they are making a Prime Blaster. Last I checked that is a gun. But its white with blue highlights. Hasbro stated they would have to change Sixshot's color scheme in order to reissue him.

I would like an anime style one HOWEVER I doubt he will be released. Besides Prime and Megatron everything seems to be the same price point.
