Hasbro Has Sunk To New Depths Of Stupidity

Yesterday, my friend picked up a variety of new Hasbro Transformers, including Universe Side Burn and Universe Ruination, which I will discuss here. Hasbro hasn't had a great reputation lately with quality of information on the packaging, but these two really bring it to new lows.

1. Side Burn-This is from memory, so bear with me. The box stated a bunch of stuff that applied to the Alternators toys and not to Side Burn, these included: "Engine comes out and forms the gun" "Adjustable seats" I think there was another amusing error that escapes my memory right now.

2. Ruination-This one is even funnier and more moronic, because it doesn't really have to do with information or even names. If you look at the back of the box, you see all the individual figures with their robot mode and vehicle mode side by side next to their names. Under the name Armorhide you see Rollbar standing in back of Armorhide in Tank mode, and under the name Rollbar you see an army jeep in front of Armorhide in robot mode. The other three are pictured correctly.

Come on, how hard is it to not screw up packaging this bad. The Ruination errors are even worse, as you can plainly see how wrong it is, being more than just a text error. It really is sad that Hasbro doesn't even bother to proofread the packaging of their toys.

Eh, who cares ? It's just a box.

I was actually thinking someone like you might care, as you keep them MISB.

I only keep stuff MISB because I hardly have any room left to display.

I still open stuff, just not as much. I will always keep my Takara Reissues MISB though, only because I like to display them that way.

I already said why I'm collecting MISB.

sorry didn't catch it. but then you still don't give a damn about the boxes?

yeah the Universe Ruination box error has been mentioned before.

What i think is that Hasbro was STUPID enough to repaint Ruination in such CRAPPY colours.

If they wanted to make it look like "tiger" print, they should have gotten rid of those little squiggly lines and put slashes instead.

No, it's the quality of the toy inside that really matters.

No, it's the quality of the toy inside that really matters.

The point is that if the quality of the box lacks, you begin to wonder what kind of effort the maker has put into the whole. And that does include the toy.

however this is more of a case of QC in Hasbro's end. Shall we go down that road? For MISB collectors (like yours truly) that wouldn't really matter as long as the actual packaging is in MINT condition.

An example of poor packaging would have to be in the lines of the Mattel's Secret Wars line where they used some cheap-ass paint and cheap-ass bubbles for they ended up being yellow, especially the last waves. Now, that would suck for misb collectors.

Mispellings and pictures that dont' match is a common thing, sure its poor QC but what can one do? nothing.

eh, whadaya gonna do? the errors you mention aren't nearly as bad as the ones on the box for e-magnus: the pics show the wrong minicon team AND the wrong color scheme for magnus, can't get much worse that that..I hope.. @hmmm@

I saw that too at walmart, it all comes down to having pride in your work and someone didnt care enough about putting out a good product. You would think hasblo would try to hire more fans so this kind of stuff wouldnt happen. Of course the guys that defend hasblo all the time arent bothered by this. @smilepunch@
