Transform Archangel Into A Good Figure

Okay i've provided pics here and the recipie is from a guy on fwooshnet. it;s realy simple just follow the instructions and this is what you'll get out of it!

 

 

 

"Now to Archangel, let me tell you its easy peasy removing that stupid rocket launcher, in fact i think Toybiz constructed it that way on purpose cuz they know crazies like me exist..... first off plug in your girlfriend/wifey's/or hey if you go that way boyfriends hairdryer, now heat up that middle section of wings but good, now start prying the whole big chunk off, you should be able to see the seams where the whole missle launching section is glued to the large flat area with the piece that attaches to AA's back, okay if you're still following me here you've got the whole missle launcher gobbly gook in your hand and now your left with this big weird looking area where it had been glued and you say "why Indy, this now looks terrible, whyever did i listen to you", and i say shut the hell up and let me finish, now the chunk you have in your hand has all the stupid missle launching pieces along with a set of "tailfeathers" (for lack of a better word) now rip off as much of the missle launching crap as you can with your bare hands, then drop the rest into a nice hot glass of water (kids use the microwave ) leave it in there for a minute of 2 and you should be able to peel the glued tail feathers off. now the tailfeather section is not a flat piece so you'll have to make it that way, i used an x-acto and a pair of wire snippers to just trim it down (it doesn't hafta be pretty cuz u won't be seeing it) then snip off the lump from the main section of the wings and glue the tail feathers on! Wallah you have an Archangel without missle firing action crapola......... well i dunno if anyone was able to follow that but if you want pictures I'll take some but I'll need somebody else to host em cuz I don't have a website....... "

here's my pic, but I've done away with that version and am currently working on making them more comic accurate (sans tailfeathers alltogether) like a few others have already done.....

 

 

 

I'll take pics once I've finished the new one, I'm trying to keep as much movement as possible if not more......

Nice fix. It's definitely a much cleaner way to make the wings, but I actually took a different approach involving just outright hacking off the wings and sculpting them to look more naturally attached to the body.
