Do you mean too many covers for One issue?

I would agree with you there.

 

In regards of the other comics..like energon? or Dark Ages or whatever that name is. I don't consider them part of the G1 Legacy.

Sometimes the amount of covers does get overwhelming, but storyline-wise there's only three ongoing current series right now or at any moment. Maybe four at one point.

i like the variant covers, i admit it is kind of pricey, but i like the artwork.

And really none of them are really worth it except for the War Within. Honestly, I've said this a millino times, Dreamwave's artwork is really good but their writing still needs a lot of work.

It is ridiculous, but people will fork out the cash and pay for them. That's why they make variant covers.

the variant cover is the chromium cover of this year.

I see those gijoe vs tf variants not even selling for 5 dollars.

there is like two covers for each issue of G1 V1 and V2. a few re-prints of #1 here and there and some holofoil/variants, but those were miniseries. and now there is an on-going series, so just brace yourself for even more.

I like how many different TF comics we now have, but i do wish they would chill a bit on the variant covers.

I gave up on collecting the comics last year.. just too many to buy, and it sucks missing some

 

so I sold them all

I'm not going to sell my books anytime soon. I rather save them for my kids so they have something to rip apart and eat.

If there are multiple covers I only buy the one I like most. With G1 Vol 1, it was worth getting most of the covers since I liked them all. With Vol 2, Issue's 1-4 connecting covers were worth it while issues 5 and 6 I only bought 1 of each. I was glad War Within Vol 1 had one cover each.

DF runs a nice scheme with those. First they announce their exclusive cover..then after a lot of people buy this exclusive cover they announce another variant/exclusive cover. so then collector's that could've waited for this so-called more rare cover would've saved some money are stuck buying another comic book from them again.

i think i saw that with the war within 2. the cover with prime came out first and then another one with the same art except for the colour of the eyes.
