90's Catwoman

The recipie is quite obvious. It's the new DCD Silver Age Catwoman. Never liked that costume i think it was the cape that threw it off. i always thought this was Catwoman's best costume. I opted not to adjust the mask to show her eyebrows, there are sculptlines that i didn't want to coverup because i didn't wantto repaint her eyes. i'm not the best at small touchups likethat.

this was allot of work, i removed the skirt and the cpae which left large holes in her upper back, lower back and midsection. i dremeld down the short ankleboots, the coller, the pointy sholders, the pantielines, the glovelines on her hands. her entier waist, upper back, upper chest and the lips on her boots and gloves are all sculpy.

here is the original...

the purple isn't as shiny as it looks in the pics but i want to get a dullcoat laquer that actually works (i can't find the brand i liked that worked great anymore) to have it really contrast agianst the high gloss boots.

Also i have an extra Pengiuin now that i'll sell to someone for less than retail (of a single DCD figure), you can keep the box and stand too. LMK

thanks very much for taking a look90

That is freaking awesome, impressive display of skills. You have a great talent for this stuff. I would also have rather seen that version of Catwoman first, and I may have to try making her 90's style now. Too cool.

thanks for the compliments guys, it was definatly not easy to do. I'm pretty pleased with the end result. i really toyed around with adding more hair and tweaking the mask today by exposing her eyebrows and making the eyes bigger but i'm happy with the result now and wouldn't want to jinx it ;)

I initally wanted to use Wondergirl as the body base because they were in scale and all that would be required woul be the sanding of her belt and costume lines. i probably wouldn't even need a dremel! I really like the body sculpt of wondergirl but her figure is a little too teenlike and not womanly enough.

So that was one reason, this version of catwoman was always volumptuous. In fact i could have probably added a wack of sculpy to he breasts and it would have still not lived up to the way she was drawn! the main reason was that i didn't want to pay another 60 bucks for the WW/WG set, and be left over with anohther figure ontop of penguin and an unused body and head.

I'm really glad i used the catwoman body now though.

Don't change a thing. She's puuurfect. Turned out beautifull with more articulation than you would've got from the Wonder Girl. Like the sculpt on that "Inaction" figure, but it's not good enough to compensate for the lack of articulation like the Kingdom Come ones are. Picked up that box set last week and didn't realize the Catwoman had such nice assests under that skirt. Excellent and impressive work.
