Micron Boosters

Micron Boosters are boxes of recolored Mini-Cons - the set just released has a sea greenish Energon Saber redeco, 3 more Sparkplug variants, another Sea Team deco, and 3 others. Here's a link to Remy's gallery:

My question is: are these made by Takara, or are these made by Kabaya or some other licensed company?

Ok...this is my department.

So far there are 2 series of Micron Boosters.

Quickshift got the second series right above, where the boxes had 12 pieces which were a complete set.

The first series was called Version 0 from last year. Boxes held 24 pieces, where the set was 8 toys: both the Race and Air Defense Team with "metallic" plastic, and red and blue Sparkplugs.

I've got them all and do recommend them. The repaint Sparkplugs are real nice. A blue Energon Saber can't go wrong either.

Thanks for the info chap ! I always wondered what the Micron boosters were, I thought they were just the same'ol Miniconas we normally get.

No. Those boxes are overkill. You can normally find a set on ebay, but it really isn't worth it unless you're a collector. The "metallic" race and air teams aren't that different from the original releases. Not to mention, I've seen auctions for just the red and blue Sparkplugs (Rod + Atlus).

The second set is worth buying a box, if you can.
