What i'll have to do is shave down the top and belt and wristbands on wondergirl add sculpy to the boots to make them reach up to her mid thigh area and add sculpy to the arems around the bicep articulation to make it look like the end of a glove.

Also i would have to shave the area around the mask and paint eyebrows on her.

I think painting tiny details on figures is really hard (even though i'm a pretty good drawer) so i'm a bit worried about the head. I tend to muck up the paint and it is noticeable where i stressed tiny details and did touch ups to fix it. How do i get the paint to look seamless? DCD figures don't come ceap so i'd rather not fu** this up. Would this be easy to do and do you have any suggestions on how to do it? like kinds of sculpy, what you use to shave, how to harden the sculpy etc.

thanks for any help

shaving: dremels ( a little sanding power tool that is similar to what nail people whatever they are called use) run about $20 at wallmart. they are essential to a real customuzer and easy to use off the bat, though you may want to practice with crappy figures.

painting: I've never had problems with this though you could water down your paints. Use testors or I hear good things about citedel paints. Jin has some helpful tips for rookies on his sight.

sculpting: I'm less conventional with crayola modeling sculpty. it works amazingly and its super easy to sculpt.

good luck and keep us posted.

edit: ur drawings are insanely good! crazy bastard @smilepunch@

hey dude, glad you found it helpful. crayola is air drying, but allows you all the time in the world. Also, it dries a little flexible so it is less likely to break. As elaberate as your art is I'm not surprised that you don't have time. Even my inferior art takes time.

I prefer Milliput for details on a figure and sculpy for accesories to add to them. You can get the Crayola Model Magic at Wal-Mart and is an easier medium to start out with. Plus if you're not satisfied with the results - it's much easier to remove and start over. For smaller detail work like eyebrows and such. I use unconventional things like mechanical pencil lead, brush pics and even needles to apply the paint. I've yet to find a conventional brush I'm satisfied with for those. I'd recommend picking up a cheap figure at Doller General for $3.00 to practice on before hand, especially given the price of the figures you want to work with.. Never hesitate to experiment and try new techniques. Deffinately check out Jin's painting guide. It's the best I've seen. What I've had to do is budget or set aside a certain amount of time each day to work on my projects. Even if it's only 15 to 30 minates a day - it adds up. It may take me a week or even a month to finish a complicated project, but at least it doesn't set on the work bench forever -waiting for me to get around to it.
