- The BumbleJumper is also included in DW, nice.

okay i read it and i laffed more than anything.

 

 

to start off starscreams lines are straight from the movie"who disrupts my coronation".we get a glimpse of bruticus and the scrapped autobots,minus brawn and ratchet.

 

we dont see much of cybertron or prowls autobots,however we get to see fan favs runabout and runamuck.rb and rb stunble upon a cr chamber with different bots in them[diaclone magnus being one]an unamed bot grabs runabout and in the next bar he is on the floor,soon runamuck joins him.

 

while in the ark we see the captured decepticons[sw,tc,soundwave].from seeing this we now know sunstorm was built from generic seakers not tc and sw.

brawn and ratchet make it back to the ark to tell bumble bee they need reinforcements,but its to late.ratchet sets teletran to blow,trying to take out bruticus,this fails and the bots are captured.

 

meanwhile on cybertron we get our first view of sunstorm.[which wasnt named]

 

 

btw,g1 fans will notice that bumble bee is leading the minibots[even though his feet dont touch the ground].one of his minibots is the classic bumble jumper @loll@ well it seems his new name is bumper.i thought it was great of dw to throw in movie refrances,g1 brawn faceplate, and apperances by diaclone magnus and bumblejumper.

 

 

also i think we will be seeing some diaclone guys[cr chamber] or powered up versions[soundblaster]

 

something is up in that cr chamber.

Yeah I enjoyed this comic, I didnt even know this came out today, I picked up this and ww #4. the movie ties in were priceless.

i got the sunstorm cover i think. there were three covers. two of the covers were able to be put together and the other one had who i thought was starscream but i now think it is sunstorm. yeah for me. how much rarer is that cover?

 

 

anyway, i love all the easter eggs in the comic. it was a great nod to the fans.

This, by far, was the BEST TF comic I've read in a long, long time.

 

Brad Mick is one of the best writers ever, and it is evident that he has been a fan of TF for a very long time. Starscream's coronation was priceless, and I loved when he was dragging Wheeljack and Windcharger in that one panel, replace SS with Arcee and you have that classic scene in the Movie.

 

Bumper. How priceless. When I first saw him I thought of Hubcap, but I like that it was Bumblejumper all the better.

 

And the Powered Convoy...has to be Prime. I mean if the two are brothers, then if Mags has the extra armor, so should Prime. Maybe it is the prequel to the "powermaster" Prime.

 

And the final surprise....Brawn's faceplate.

 

I hope the series continues with this intensive writing. I was hooked from page one....can't wait for issue 2.

@loll@ @loll@ This kind of comment should've been posted at DW Board more often. It's a shame there are so many negative comments regarding DW TFs over there. Anyhow, that's a different issue.

Anyways, I wanted to read the book before I came to the boards. I had NO idea who the hell Bumper was and went online to see what I could dig up. But, after reading the posts here, now I understand who he is. Kinda cool that DW is including that variant as an actual character.

As far as the review, well...it's not Brad's best work, but it's a start. I liked his writing better on the mini series, but he also had something to prove back then. Hopefully the book'll pick up a bit.

The shuttle that BumbleBee was flying in... was... Galaxy Shuttle. You can clearly see the Yellow V on the side of the shuttle. #US1#

That was a really good issue. Sunstorm's entry is quite impressive. I thought many of the chambered characters were all dialcone. I wondered whom Bumper was, but now I know(damn GI Joe PSAs). It almost seemed like it was a cross between Starscream's Brigade and TF the movie(yet another reference). Brawn's faceplate was cool. Perhaps we might see that with Huffer and Gears. THe "ancient" Autobot MUST be.....cough....Skyfire...cough....Jetfire.

Oh come on. Its not gone forever. How many times did Teletran 1 get blown up in the cartoon? The Dinobots trashed it more than once and it was TRYPTICON who finally destroyed it completely. I think it will come back and then we will finally see Teletran 2.

pretty bitchen' issue. i got both covers (wraparound cover and jazz/bruitcus). sunstorm at the end was cool. bruiticus saving the con's from the ark was bitchen', also.

Very very good issue... I wish I had more to say, I'm just speechless. It was near perfect. Alot is gonna happen in this Ongoing... I can't wait for the next issue. And the next and the next and the next....
