Other then Zap, Shipwreck and possible Law. I dont think there are any other latin/hispanic Joes.

There are only 2 American Indian Joes: Airborne, Spirit and Dart.

There are atleast 11 African American Joes: Stalker, Doc, Roadblock, Alpine, Iceberg, Hardball, Backblast, Deejay, Heavy Duty, Bulletproof and possibly Col. Courge.

There are also 4 Asian Americans: Quick Kick, Tunnel Rat, Jynx and Budo.

I think the Joeverse is pretty well mixed.

i see this heading the way of the firefly, be careful guys racism is a touchy subject and even if your not taking jabs some people still take them that way, i got accused of it in a different post.

Because of the Firefly post, I wanted to show the the Joeverse was well mixed.

Im not some race fanatic. I look at people real colors, the colors on the inside(if you know what I mean).

Lets not turn this into a race thing please. We are all Joe fans here.

i hear that nov, it just seemed like others may have gotten off track quickly and i dont wanna see stuff being said here either, i meant no disrespect in that post and i believe that there is no such thing as color, as person is who he is by how he acts, not looks.

since im filipino american, i wish Hasbro made a filipino american Joe character, we got a chinese joe(Tunnel rat) korean/japanese joe (Quick kick) and couple japanese joes (Budo, Jinx, Storm shadow)

actually i just thought of the name right now, Boondock.(boondock is a filipino word believe it or not)

hey, that's pretty cool there, zanzibar. yeah, boondock is derived from the tagalog (filipino) word - bundok. which means mountain.

anyway, yeah, being filipino myself, it would be cool if there was a g.i. joe character of philippine descent. though, i never really wished for it since it always seemed way too unlikely. but, you can always just think of yourself as a filipino g.i. joe, right? ^_^

>>You forgot Stretcher and Static line>>

Yup. And the new black female Doc, from the Reloaded comic.

>>I thought Backblast was white??>>

Edward Menninger is definitely not black, but I've always seen him as a Zap clone, and the name is a bit ambiguous.

And Snow Storm (Guillermo Suarez) was from Havana, Cuba.

Id really like to see a black female character as part of the Joes. Not that Armada woman from DD.

Yeah, there really needs to be a black female joe. Since most of the people in the military that I know personally are black females, I've always felt they should be represented in G.I. Joe.

Joes are no big deal. You can say Roadblock is Asian if you want, right?

What I want to see is more female and non-white figures in Cobra. As it stands, we have Vypra (who needs a distinctive appearance and not just a Jinx clone), Baroness and Zarana. I think a female Tele-Viper would be cool. Also, there is only ONE black guy in all of Cobra? Well, one black trooper in the Infantry set. Oops, 2. Almost forgot about Burnout.

No offense to anyone, of course.

I'm totally with that, especially since I only collect Cobra!

I think it's awesome that in the DD books they diversify the troopers. I mean in one panel in the Serpentor battle we had a black Televiper and a female Televiper! That was cool.

I've noticed they've done it here and there in other issues but can't think of it off-hand.

Some actual characters would be nice too. Burnout is decent but did he have to have that scrappy hair to be a Dreadnok??? @loll@

Give me some other specialists to mix it up!

Yeah I was kind irked on that too, but its cool to have a black dreadnok though. For some reason I thought the dreadnoks were a bunch rednecks early in the marvel run, so it suprised me when they had a black dreadnok. Glad to see that they dont discriminate when it comes to opening a can o whoop arse :)

I agree...I'd like to see the Cobras get as well diverse in their ethnicity as the Joes are. I think originally, this was shyed away from, for fear of causing a few raised eyebrows or two, from the different groups who might cry "sterotyping" by making a "bad guy" toy figure of a certain ethnic group.

This shouldn't be the case today, as it seems the "bad guys" are pretty popular, because of their coolness! ;)

I remembered the artwork of a Black female character that Hasbro had planned at one point, but never made. I think they should go back and pick it up.
