Yeah I don't know any of them I'm gonna try and look again at yojoe.com to see if I can make a link, but remember he said some where greenshirts (basically) so where gonna be Joe's that week and other's were joe's . And Destro was quite a surprise to be seen though I know he respects them didn't think he would take a risk like that, and Destro is White!!!!, @loll@

Was that him unmasked, or with flesh color paint on his mask and a wig?

so, if Grand Slam bats right handed, with left hand at the bottom of the bat, shouldn't the left hand still be at the bottom of the bat after he's finished swinging, and missing, Hard Ball's pitch? Small art error ;) Good to see Hard Ball again though...except for Flagg I don't recognize any of the names, odd that there were two Blaine's on the Joe team though. . .

Ian Costello - Avalanche

Brian Davis - Blaster

Lawrence Flagg - Gen. Flagg

Mark Fruhwirth - ?

Blaine Gonsalves - Knockdown

Carl Greer - Doc

Sherman Guderian - Heavy Metal

David McCarthy - Blocker

Blaine Parker - Mainframe

Phil Provost - Chuckles

Walter Rose - ?

Thomas Rossi - Dee-Jay

David Thomas - Crazylegs (or since the last part of the name is blocked, it couls be David Thorn aka Freedom #US1# )

Samuel Well - ?

I don't know who the three are w/ "?." They could be Greenshirts and/or made up names for Mangler & Cool Breeze.

Freedom,

Are sure about Ian Costello - Avalanche? Hasbro is bring him out as a new figure. I was kind of hoping DD would've played by Hasbro's rules in term of the individuals that can consider "expendable".

Man I hope he isn't dead. I was just beginning to like him once again.

Bummer @grumpy@ ...

<edit>

Call me stupid or whatever, but that gravestone with all the names actually made me a little teary eyed. I wish there were a special issue that was along the lines of the "battle files" series that paid respect to the fallen. It could show all characters who are gone with a bio and a little info on exactly how they died for newer readers. Then perhaps on the last two pages, we see a full-blown memorial stone like the one in this issue with the names of all the fallen.

On a note about Destro being white, according to the first few DD issues, his first wife(I say first because I assume he and the Baroness are married) was black and it's quite possible to have a black child from an interracial marriage.

Those pics of Destro match almost exactly with his maskless image in the old Marvel series. No make up or mask added, gents...

Cool! :)

It looks like Jerwa is getting off to a great start. I really liked how he had Destro at the Joe's funeral, it just goes to show you that Destro's not all bad. I can't wait for this issue.

Ya know, you could really almost consider this issue the beginning of a second volume of GI Joe. You don't need to have been following the comic to know where Jerwa's going with the book, just the basic details...so I implore those who dropped the book due to poor artwork and/or the writing to check it out one more time.

Wondering when you were gonna start @loll@ @smilepunch@

I never give up hope, i feel let down, there was so much build up, and now there are still things unanswered, Serpentor should have come and attacked during the Funeral lol, (ps said that so everyone would get mad, take a joke lol) @loll@
