I would have liked to see some other but am also pleased that we are getting Targetmaster Hotrod. This dude is pretty rare and I personally am a big fan of Targetmaster/Headmaster/Breastforce/Brainmasters so I say bring it on !!!

Word!! Some people could be very hard to pleased. I mean, We are getting a TM Hotrod, this means we could get the rest of the TM or even better, the Headmasters. Transformers is not only about 1984 and 85 cars. There is more than that and Im happy with this news.

I think you guys are missing the point here. Would you be more or less pissed if it were a standard Hotrod rahter than TM?

Hasbro reissued standard HR and Takara could have done the same but instead, they chose to do TM.

It would suck only if they reissued what had already been given to us. This is a different toy. Also, what if Hasbro had NOT reissued Hotrod? Would you still be pissed?

Griping ass motherfu..... .. NM. @firedevil@

I didn't buy any of the previous releases of Hot Rod, not getting this one either. I dispiese the movie characters with a passion and really wish they would stick with the first two season molds. I rather have gotten another version of Starscream then this.

Not all movie characters are bad...Hotrod is a very nice toy...and targetmaster...I don't think you know what you

re missing here...now if you already own the toy...now that's a whole other issue at stake here.

He does nothing for me, I hate the color, I don't like the look of the head and the I thought that the character was horrible. I also don't like the futuristic alt modes that any of the have. Though I will admit he's no where near as bad as Kup or Blurr.

Damnit no!

One of my prized pieces in my collection is my misb Target Master Hot Rod. I know, value wise it's not going to go down much, but still.

Anyways I think that it's not a bad move by Takara. Remember they still aren't doing extremely well so this is a fairly cheap way of making a few extra dollars. They have been as of late releasing molds that they previously had not so that does cost them more money to do.

I'm of the mindset that this is Takara buying time to fix old molds that were damaged, which is very much a good thing. This also gives the few remaining people who don't have any Hot Rod and those of us who don't have a TM Hot Rod another chance. I'm also excited to think that there might be TM Scourge and TM Cyclonus down the line just so I'll have an excuse to do my Scourge/Cyclonus repaints.

My biggest fear is that the G1 market trend will lose steam before the potential runs out. @hmmm@

g1 prices remain intact no matter what. no worries there.

now star wars in the other hand...not looking to good for those figures. Especially with the crap movies that are coming out.

im not happy with this, but im the demographic that takara's going after... im still gonna buy it.

i quite dont know the difference besides the gun.

IS the motor mold different as well so that Firebolt can fit into the engine when in car mode?

Add SkywarpsGhost to the list of disappointed people who will 100% pass on this re-issue and not look back. It'll totally ruin the collection too if they go back to Season One and Two characters after... having #13 be missing. I only want the '84/'85 Season 1 and 2 characters. Not that all after suck by any means... but the fact that they got away from the realistic alt modes... that's what made G1 so good. Armada fills my quench for futuristic designs... I have no need of this.

This news really makes me happy! I loved Hot Rod as a kid, but could never get my own. When Takara made the reissues, I went all out and bought five for $35 each and even picked up the exclusive black version. Since I was still in college at the time, I ended up selling all of them except for the I opened for my display just so I could pay the rent and buy textbooks. I was considering getting another to keep MISB, but the Takara versions are pretty expensive now and even the US reissue runs pretty high, plus I really detest the "Rodimus Major" packaging. Now I can finally get a Target Master Hot Rod, one my personal Transformer "Holy Grails." Now that I'm outta college, I will definitely stock up on the these.

Since Anya likes Hot Rod a lot, then I'll buy her this reissue and the Rodimus Prime reissue if it's ever released over here. She may have Hot Rod already, the Hasbro reissue, but I don't mind treating her with the Target Master and his leader upgrade/growth spurt.

Tony.
