This should be a really cool Takara box-style reissue...hopefully we'll might get a targetmaster Cyclonus or Scourge down the line too!

 

These Takara reissues just display insanely well in box...I'll open them up, but I store mine in their boxes.

What a waste! There are so many other reissues that could have been done, especially some Decepticons like Blitzwing or Galvatron. I mean, we're getting this BEFORE a Mirage, Hound or Sunstreaker reissue? Give me a break! There were alot more worthy candidates for reissue than this...

I kinda agree. Although I like the idea and will buy him, I think some others could have been better.

 

But hell, more figures the merrier!

This particular target master is pretty rare, and there obviously is high demand for him. I think it is a logical step for Takara. Of course wewant all the G1 toys re-issued. I guess time will tell what other toys wiil come. For now i'm happy with this one.

Í can't agree more on this. This Hotrod was re-issued by Hasbro just last year. Takara should've played it smart here and come up with a new re-issue. Good examples are Hound, Wheeljack, Sunstreaker, Blitzwing and Shockwave.

 

I'll pass since i already have the Hasbro version.

Yeah, I have to agree with some of you guys, that this isn't the best choice for the next Re-Issue. I really would've preferred the one I've been waiting forever to get; Sunstreaker.

I'm kind of pleased that Takara did this. Remember, they still haven't announced #14, which should come out around the same time as this. However, this means that Takara is trying to be unpredictable. They could pull out ANYTHING now. I wouldn't be too worried about the 1984-1985 cars being reissued. Eventually we'll see all of the ones that were reissued by Takara as collector's editions and probably the others as well if Takara still has the molds. With the demand for a reissue Hound, Sunstreaker, Mirage, etc. so high, even if the molds are broken or missing I'm pretty sure Takara will deliver sooner or later. But now who knows what we'll get next. If Takara is trying to surprise us, they could very well pull out some of the big guns like Victory Saber, Deszaras, Trypticon, or Metroplex sometime within the next year.

I knew eventually Hot Rod would show up, and I hoped Takara would have waited until the end for him. However, I love the idea of TM HR being reissued! Its just different enough to make me wanna buy it. I really hope Sunstreaker is up next though. They should have prolly held off on this even though its a cool idea, and went with Mirage.

ill have him! i wanta targetmaster! and now that i can get one that BRAND NEW and AFORDABLE. there are plenty of worthy canidates, but just think, there are PLENTY of other releases to come! its great!

Got the regular Reissue Hot Rod already so I'm going to pass #13.

 

As a matter of fact, I'll pass all the Remold Targetmasters (i.g. Kup/Blurr/Hot Rod/Cyclonus/Scourge). I will only purchase the new mold Targetmasters i.g. Sureshot, Misfire, Triggerhappy, etc.

Ya know, this being Takara, they could reissue Stepper or Artfire. (Just a Slightly remolded Jazz & Inferno, which we know they have the molds for) hmmmm....

Yup. This one has different sized holes in his hands and comes with a Targetmaster gun instead of the two gray guns found with regular Hot Rod. Targetmaster Hot Rod is worth a lot more than the regular Hot Rod, so this presents an affordable alternative for those wishing to complete their Targetmaster collections.

I would have liked to see some other but am also pleased that we are getting Targetmaster Hotrod. This dude is pretty rare and I personally am a big fan of Targetmaster/Headmaster/Breastforce/Brainmasters so I say bring it on !!!
