Prime Differences

One quick question:

 

Other than the stacks and paint sceme, and the fact that was is made by hasbro, what are the differences between the hasbro and takara masterpiece primes? And alos, do you think thoses difference are worth $50 US?

other then the battle damage and stacks. there is no difference. THe boxes are different and the Takara one comes with a paper trailer.

Where are you getting a $50 difference? Last I knew, Hasbro's version was only something like $20 cheaper..?

 

And the higher price is worth it to me for the nicer box and not having that ugly "battle damage" (read: black/dark grey paint sprayed him).

I've seen a bunch of places sell him for between 98 and 110 US

I only have the Takara one, but I preordered it so long ago it only cost $89 but from what I understand other than what was already mentioned no there isn't any difference So it was worth the $20 to me to get the long stacks, paper trailer n' such. Oh one more difference, there is a brochure with the Takara ones that has a "history of Prime"

I am likely going to end up getting 20th Anniversary because I could care less about smoke stack length or packaging.

Lets see Takara one is like $100 and the Hasbro is $60 when it hits Walmart.

 

 

Takara has longer stacks and a cleaner paint scheme. It comes with a good looking cardboard trailer (not sure is Hasbro's does). Also the Takara Primes gun is grey not black. Unsure of the Hasbro gun.

 

Hasbro's however looks damn good with the battle damage/sut look to him.

Hasbro's has a paper trailer, too, but theirs is permanently configured to "repair bay" mode.

 

As for the grey gun.. as shown in the "alt smokescreen repaint" thread (or something similar to that), it's nothin' a little black paint can't fix.

Well after reading this i may just get the hasbro version instead, I mainly wanted takara for its diecast, but i mean its going for like 110 on sites now, i can get it for 85 on some sites but that wont ship till march and i cant wait that long, and since hasbros comes with a trailer (paper) i think ill get it

 

Does hasbros matrix light up? (gotta double check )
