I've been laying off bragging for a while...but U-C-O-N-N UCONN UCONN!!! @smilepunch@

Ahh...that felt good.

UConn DESTROYED the formerly undefeated Oklahoma, then last night manhandled the 10-2 Georgetown. This team is ridiculously deep, and the only possible weakness is that the players tend to get bored if they're up by more than 15. Naturally, another injury to Okafor would hurt, but not as much as it would before thanks to Charlie Villanueva. There's no way UConn would've lost to Georgia Tech with Okafor healthy and/or with Villanueva. That kid was definitely worth waiting six games for...he's an all around great player and definitely a future NBAer. I'd go as far to say that this team has 3 future NBA starters (Gordon, Okafor, Villanueva) and a bunch more that might make the league (Denham Brown, Josh Boone, Rashad Anderson, Marcus Williams, and Taliek Brown).

What are your thoughts on the NCAA season thus far?

Oh and Skarapz...get ready for Saturday. We're coming to your house and gonna kick the door down.

yes that dismantling of OU was a thing of beauty :D

matter of fact Coach Sutton used that game to break down the sooner offense and point out weaknesses in the sooner defense. Using that tape they were able to tilt the floor all night and only when they turned the ball over did OU get within single digits

They went on a tidy 16-3 run in the first half and never looked back winning 77-56.

So I suppose a thanks to the huskies is in order :D

I usually don't get into the NCAA basketball season till conference championships and March Madness, but I caught some of today's action and it was pretty good.

Caught a little of the Wake-Duke game. The Blue Devils look like the favorite to me early on.

St. Joe's won at Xavier. Now after all the recent losses of high ranked teams, I wonder if St. J's willl crack No. 3 in the country behind Duke and Stanford.

And the UConn-UNC game was great. ProckoZero, sorry to say it, but you might have jinxed your Huskies.

  • 2 weeks later...

I find it amazing tha baseball offseason gets more play then men's college basketball.

At any rate "how bout them cowboys" going into austin and beating texas then coming home and knocking off the red raiders and bob "throw me a chair" knight.

This week brings a trip to College Station to play A&M and then up to Ames Iowa to take on the Cyclones.....I think if they can win those 2 and beat the jayhawks at home the pokes might advance into the top 10....
