Bt Sideswipe

Just got my BT Sideswipe to go with my Prime and Smokesceen (all the Takara versions) and I have to say it is nice. I actually like Sideswipe a little better than Smokescreen. Granted Smokescreen is more true to it's G1 counterpart than Sideswipe but it he is less bulky and easier to pose in different positions. I think they are all great though. These things really are awsome, especially for G1 fans. Now as I have said before if we could just get some Decepticons.

Couldn't agree more on the Decepticons part. Due to money, I have decided to get Altenators as opposed to Binaltech, but I know they will be just as good. Don't have any of them yet, but will have Smokescreen tomorrow.

WTF? The only poseable bit on Sideswipe is his arms. His knees only bend about 10 degrees backwards, and the stupid bonnet hanging down stops them moving any great distance at the waist. Other than that he has pretty much Armada Megs style leg movement. I wasn't impressed with the articulation at all

I hope we get at least one Decepticon from the line. So far it doesn't look that way.

 

Anyway, I hated BT Sideswipe when it was first shown, but ended up liking it more than Smokescreen when I finally saw it in real life. It's Viper car mode is perfect. My main gripe with him is the same with the other one and the coming Hound: where are the big-ass super-sized guns and missle launchers? Other than that, he's excellent.

We dont know the Mazda will be #5, and there's still the mystery corvette to go first as well. So going on the basis that all known figures will be released first, #7 would be the earliest
