Anyone Here Obcessed With Hmw

Recommended Posts

I know that a lot of people like this game and I used to play it on a somewhat regular basis back about 3-4 months ago but really I don't see what the big deal about it is :( . I didn't find the game addicting at all and found it more boring than anything. Sure you can pick if your guy does a mission or fights in a one on one battle which is neat, but I mean frig all you see is a little clock counting down while the battle goes on....how exciting. I think it also has to do with how everything (battles, recovery, etc.) just takes so terribly long....I really tried to get into this game, but it's just to coma inducing for my liking.

Well it works for me mainly because I play games like that all the time, assemble the pieces and let something else use them to fight. Basically for me HMW is a work time killer. At home I have a baseball game that I basically play to death that runs similarly. Its a GM simulator, I also play the heck out of Star Wars rebellion which is pretty similar in game play to HMW actually if you think about it. Assemble the fleet have the computer fight and land troops on the worlds.

Never heard of this game before, so I just signed up to give it a try.

So far I can't really see how it can be called a game. Nothing happens, no graphics or anything, just a count down timer. Plus you have to wait an hour to see the reults of the first mission. Not exactly thrilling so far...lol.

My 3 bots names by the way are...

LIke a said its basically a internet surfing time killer. One of those your on line anyway so why not. You really need to spend a good deal of time with it though before you actually have something thats fairly cool to mess around with, my top bot, Nightwatch, has a little over 606,000 exp and its not till around 400,000 that you have someone that can win missions on their own. So while not as great as a game that you'd pay for or one that requires far more interaction for a free game its not bad.

I think the true fun with the game though is posting on the HMW message boards and starting up some friendships with the other "commanders"
