Armada Unicrons In Energon Boxes

Today at TRU I saw a bunch of the Armada Unicrons in Energon boxes. At first I thought someone did the ol' switcharoo but they had like 6 of them.

I've been hearing of a lot of that lately all throughout the US.

This isnt the first report of this. My guess is they changed the packing for him but need to pack more so just used the new packing instead of spending money to revert back to the Armada box.

Which one Jayc, I want to pick one up and keep it sealed incase hasbro screwed up, hence Bumblejumper.

Bumblejumper was a completely differnt mold accidently put in the Bumblebee & Cliffjumper packs. Comparing that to Hasbro putting unrepainted figs in the repaints box is hardly the same thing.

I also saw Unicron in Energon boxes at Wal Mart, but Unicron was repainted Black and gold.

Well there is a Energon Unicron but these were the Armada ones in the Energon package. I doubt there would be any value to these above the regular Unicrons but I saw them at the TRU in Fair Lakes.

Probably just the same way that some of the earlier Armada figures got rereleased in Unicron Battles packaging (eg: Supercon Prime). Intended for a smooth transition I imagine

I would think this is different, since this is entirely new line and not just a packaging change. Just like "Battle for the Spark" was still Beast Machines, "The Unicron Battles" is just another packaging change to Armada. I wonder what new sub-moniker Energon will get later on??

i saw several of them at tru when i found my skorponok. i ran into a armada sideswipe in a alternators smokescreen box too lol.

saw these today too..after visiting several more TRU I finally found the correct energon version..of course i picked it up
