this must sound stupid , but wtf is one-shot?

A one-shot is a story that comes out in one comic, and there is no series.

 

There will be Cobra Reborn, that tells the story of the origin of Cobra, but there not be a series titled Cobra Reborn. Same thing with GI Joe Reborn, tells a one time story and sets the stage for the Reloaded series, but no Reborn series.

 

 

That make sense?

gi joe reloaded is in march

So Reborn is out in January and February and Reload is out in March...

So, it's Cobra Reborn in Jan, then GI Joe Reborn in Feb. GI Joe Reloaded starts in march and is on-going. does that explain it?

I just wanted to make sure that you knew that it wasn't two issues of Cobra reborn (1 in jan, 1 in Feb), but rather that there are two one shots that are different.

Though I'm a little worried.From the preview we saw of Cobra Reborn,the writing was cheesy and corny,characterization is off,and we have a writer (Paul Jenkins) who has openly admitted he doesn't know jack about G.I. Joe.

how can the characterization be off since it's the prelude to a whole new continuity? He isn't writing the same characters from any other book, comic, cartoon, or anything else. This is supposed to be totally new.

 

As for the writer not knowing jack about Joe, that's a good thing since this is a new continuity.
